Look, thats not the greatest post.. interesting..

however, if you're gonna say the top 10.. then please make a top 10..

you've named nearly 15 players.. ur cheating.. and btw most of those players you've named are 2000 onwards.. so its a pretty irrelevant thread

Tony "Plugger" Lockett
Robert Harvey
Trevor Barker
Nicky Winmar
Greg Burns
Jeff Dunne

i said best 10 that i've seen, and the reason why there was a lot from 2000 is because i was born in 1987 and this only really counts from 94 so obviously there will be a fair few recent names. so if your going to criticise it then;

1. Ian Stewart
2. Darryl Baldock
3. Plugger
4. Robert Harvey
5. Barker
6. Barry Breen
7. Frawley
8. Winmar
9. Cowboy Neale
10. Riewoldt

Also i was just trying to get this board moving because no one else seems to start any threads, and this board moves like a snail, if you don't like the thread don't post.

Can you really say that Luke Ball is in our top 10 since 1966 as you say when the kid has effectively played for us for two seasons and still under 21? I would definitely have Nathan Burke ahead of him, but I suspect you forgot Burkey?

1. Lockett
2. Winmar
3. Harvey
4. Burke
5. Loewe
6. Frawley
7. Riewoldt
8. Barker
9. Stewart
10. Baldock

Yeah that top 10 is definitely something similar to what I would've put down.. Plugger (sigh) I"m half serious/half joking when I ponder the question.. 'Imagine if the great man had been a serious athlete.. and taken training seriously..?' I mean.. I remember as a young kid going to the St Kilda family day and walking into the room where all the boys were and I grabbed Plugger for his autograph and he had a dart in one hand and a pen in the other.. (a dart is a ciggie for those who don't know). I reckon his 13 hundred odd goals were below his potential.. what do others think?

My grandfather saw Phar Lap race when Phar Lap was a 3 year old.

Did he see any less of a champion than if he had watched when he was a 5 year old?
