Really need to laugh at some peoples thinking when ringing up Eagle Radio (6PR). Guy phones up and says Brett Peake when at Freo was in the top 15 fitness wise. But now at St Kilda he is in the bottom 20.
His implication was and the commentators agreed with him that there is a massive difference between St Kilda and Freo.
In other words @ Freo he is 15th fittest and at St Kilda he is 20th from the other end (on a list of 39 players makes him 19th fittest)
That REALLY IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE:confused:

Understandable, he probably wasted no time in hitting the numerous watering holes that Melbourne has to offer.

It's the proprietors of the Trade Winds Hotel that I feel sorry for, their cashflows must really be suffering now.

He actually said Peake was top 15% at Freo and bottom 20% at Saints

I find that pretty hard to believe, Peake may have many flaws as a footballer but he is an elite runner.

What complete bullshit. Top 15% ... we are talking 5-6 players ... so Crowley, Palmer, Ibbotson, Dodd, Tarrant territory (injuries withstanding).

As if the bottom 20% at the Saints (guys like Milne, Gardiner, Schneider, R.Clarke, JW Smith, not to mention younger players with no fitness base) would be comparable.

Suggesting that a team that played in the grand final has better fitness than a club that finished 3 last!
I'm shocked.
clearly this man is a genius.

The moral of the story is not to listen to PR.

Unless it is just after we beat them, again, in a derby.

Then it is comedy gold!:D

Maybe because he sooked at being dropped he didnt do the work.

On 6pargh,first call about the Stokes news was,you guessed it someone crying about the AFL treatment of the e-girls and nothing will be done to the cats.:D

Interesting The Worst had a positive article about their intra club game yet Karl said it was a poor game and skills

I agree.

Comparing fitness levels across clubs is a joke. Comparing talent is easy coz you just look at who makes the 8 and that is end of story.

Peake has potential, especially in a good side. He did not offer us a lot of value - mainly I think coz he is the kind of player that can provide that extra spark for the highlight real - give a bit of inspiration especially when things are going well. Last year he had one of his best years for us - clanger count was way down, he slotted some nice goals (consistently), and had a different demeanor about him. I say good luck, we did well getting a pick for him.

Drum was simply a player on the list. There was murmurs of him not getting a game at WAFL level. Good luck to him too, at least he is not a coke dealer which is a good start for him at his new home.
