Just a list of the best performers this year and an indication of the future for the Boomers. Please post your lists, since i don't know everyone playing at this level.

Anatoly Bose 6'6 G-F- Nicholls State - have rarely seen this guy play but in his Junior year is averaging 20.5 pts and 6.3 rebounds for a poor team. Still, can't be ingnored.

Cody Ellis- 6'8 F - Saint Louis - the son of a gun is putting together a great (late) freshmen year playing on a young and exciting team averaging 29.1 minutes with 11.6 points 5.8 rebounds shooting nearly 40% from 3 point line. Probably impressed the most out of all players.

Matthew Dellavedova - 6'4 G - St Mary's - just a gun freshman who is averaging 36.1 minutes:eek: with 12.1 pts 4.7 assists and shooting 40% from 3 point line. Seen this guys many times and is a sublime passer. Has the most unusual shooting technique although it translates well on the free throw line 90.7%

Ben Allen
- 6'11 C - St Mary's - the most improved player out of the lot. A senior who brought his game from next to nothing last year to a level where he's averagin 10.6 pts 7.3 rebounds shooting 50.2% from the field in 26.1 minutes. Unbelievable shooting stroke for a big man, but needs to crash the boards more and generally increase his baketball IQ.

AJ Ogiliy
- 6'11 C - Vanderbilt - Probably the most disapointing player when you consider that he seems to be depreciating every year at the Commodores this year averages 13.7 pts and 6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 23.2 minutes . However he does play in one of the toughest conferences. For example Kentucky have beat up on him twice. Funny enough he still is probably one of the few who could make an NBA roster due to his potential and decent enough production.

Wow didnt know we had so manny peeps playing college ball.

Do these doods have any chance at the NBA? Would be good to see someone other the Jawai and Patty Mills cominating for a change

It's a pretty lean year for us in terms of standout players, since the likes of Nevill and Mills have left their teams. I would expect that we'll see a few of the above names coming back to the NBL and other secondary leagues, although you'd think Bose would be holding a European passport of some kind and will end up somewhere.

Dellavedova has had a solid year after probably overhyped as the next great PG but he should have a good four-year career at St Mary's.

Ater Majok has copped a bit of flak in the press, but he is a clear project player. He should make something of himself, hopefully he doesn't jump for the pros to soon, as I believe he burned his first draft card last year.

www.aussiehoopsamerica.com is a decent website for a full rundown, their Facebook feed also has continual updates on our NBA and NCAA players which saves me a bit of time.

My biggest concern with college stats for these guys is strength of schedule, which is why Ogilvy is really the only guy worth worrying about when it comes to a pro career.

Yeah Majok is obvioulsy athletically gifted and could see hime playing in the Olympics as purely a defensive player. His leap and wingspan are unbelievable. Not sure if he has an offensive game.

Ogilvy is the most likely to play in the nba. He plays half a game so the production is good. He just needs to improve his work ethic. I think a team will take a gamble on him.

These two are the ones who obviously play in a tough conference. I just think Dellavedova and Ellis could also play in a similar tough conference and produce good numbers, and they're both freshmen!
Dellavedova for example had good games against Gonzaga and Vanderbilt who are top NCAA teams.

Is Majok even eligible for the National squad?

Pretty sure he was born in Sudan and he didn't come over here until he was about 15-16

He has already played for the national team.

Agreed on this point. I think he could even start. I don't think Andersen has worked with Bogut, nor will Jawai (both low post players), I think the rangy athlete Majok could be good for 10 minutes.

In sum, front court combos of Majok/Bogut and Andersen/Jawai. And play 4 out with Wortho.

I think we hit our peak for the next few years atleast as far as young talent goes. Seen Cody Ellis a fair few times (versed him once but that was like before my balls dropped) and while he has talent Im not sure it will translate in the NBA. Could and should make a fair career in the European leagues however.

Thon Maker. A 14 year old 6'11" to 7'1" tall (depending which of these videos you believe) Sudanese Australian. He's currently in Louisiana playing B'ball.

Drmic of Boise State and Marks of UNLV (or is it New Mexico )

Would have to be up there right now

ps. give it another year or 2 and Hedziomerovic of Boise State should get on that list too - Shit 2 years now [before committing and freshman year] of being injuried

Was that before or after you took Bogut down to the low block?

I can only do a list of 4 now cause i've barely seen the other Aussies play

1. Matthew Dellavedova (Junior)
2. Brock Motum (Junior)
3. Ryan Broekhoff (Junior)
4. Anthony Drmic (Freshman)

These are the guys standing out at the moment. All have considerable Boomer aspirations.

If all play to their senior years. I don't see that list changing much apart from the order. All are arguably the best players on their teams.
Maybe Hugh Greenwood (New Mexico) might explode next season and break into the list.
