Top 5 would have to be :

5. Monty "chabs magavin" wilson
4. Jack "rambo" macciolli
3. Chris "steam train" wischer
2. Elliot "diadora" haralambous
1. Lachie "dukes" Bennett
are you drunk???
never herd of any of them or are u talking about another comp other than APS?

Very different players, how can you compare them?

I would say for marking strength and presence - Ziebell

For disposal and flair - Cachia

Both have excellent competitive aspects to them - they would be amoungst the best Yr 11s no doubt with Scully, Hannebery and Watts.
fair call.

i doubt shaw will get drafted he's to slow
he got below 3 seconds for the 20m sprint last week - obviously not too slow. Doesn't care about tac footy, only school footy. Many players have been drafterd purely out of the APS. Is probs an outside chance, depends if he cares or not about making it. Clubs could be interested cos he is reasonable tall, fairly well built and could play midfield, forward or possibly even back.

Was tagged for about half the games last yr and still made the aps team, he is clearly one of the most valuable and influential players in the APS. Depends whether afl clubs see potential in him

cachia would definatly not be top 5 in the APS hes a good player, dont get me wrong, but hes not top 5. jack ziebell would definatly be ahead of him

good point !!!!
its hard to choose if its like an all star 5 u need sum versatitlite and there a plenty of good backman around

Not sure - was thinking Ziebel is yr 12 (??)so while bottom age is a starter for this years draft...... even tho still only 17yo doesn't have the same tag as say Dangerfield????

1. Lynch
2. Scully
3. Ziebell
4. Vickery
5. Kennedy

Lynch and Scully are miles ahead of ziebell though. very big drop

interesting comment ziebell is highly rated by a lot will be interesting where he goes in this years draft . Different player to scully but no doubt as influential on a game both have been selected in leadership group for ais/afl tour of st Africa as bottom agers where lynch hasnt so they must be rated high . Vickery and kennedy are as good also imo so while they might be a bit higher tough call to say big gap between the top 2 and the rest.

i agree there hunch ziebell scully vickery lynch are are all very good in different ways i compare them as you would ,hodge, brown ,delidio mooney , All different types but very effective not saying they are the the exact types i have given but all contast like the examples given . Scully is an outside player with phenominal endurance explosive pace and great ball use . Lynch is dynamic strong and versatile . Ziebell is hard ,huge kick, goodmark and very adaptable, vickery is talented stong attacking etc etc all different but all equally as damaging . You couldnt compare them as they are all different .

This whole post seems like BS. i would be astounded if shaw ran under 3 seconds very few players did apparently and some clubs didn't have any players under 3 seconds. Also there isn't anyone who 'doesn't care' about TAC footy that just sounds like an excuse for the fact that shaw can't cope with the next level up and is happy to play well in a mediocre competition like the APS.

Ben Hayes, Hamish Hurley, Alex Keath, Anthony Long, Charles Shaw, Hugh Vickers-Villis and James Vine all got under 3 seconds and some of our quickest people still haven't done it.

An ignorant statement

This thread has just turned into another slinging match. So I'm just going to say who, I think, in my 100% unbaised opinion, is the best school footballer.

Jordan Lisle.

There, I said it.
