To be guaranteed a top four finish we need to go 13-3 for the rest of the season. Considering how we have been playing that is HIGHLY unlikely.

We either need to win all 9 games (including the second derby) at Subi and win 4 from 7 away, or if we drop a game at Subi we'll have to win 5 from 7 away.

Our remaining home games are against Hawthorn, Saints, Richmond, Carlton, Kangaroos, Geelong, West Coast, Essendon and Melbourne. Our away games are against Geelong, Collingwood, Bulldogs (Darwin), Sydney, Adelaide, Saints and Port.

Our run of home games looks pretty good, but even if we win all of them it will be very difficult to win 4 out of 7 away games.

Very disappointing! Though we didn't think we could do it last year. However it seems unlikely we will go under the radar and catch teams out this year.

Where does that place our development if we do not make top four?

My prediction is we'll finish 6th - win a home final, then lose an away semi, then we'll all get excited about 2008 and what we reckon we'll do next year.... then repeat the pattern. :(

Time to rebuild. Midfield is woeful, old & slow.

Promote the youngsters and give them a go.

Thanks for the input Kernel. I'm surprised it took a whole 2 minutes from the final siren for an eagles stooge to show up.

WHAT YOUNGSTERS? Please let me know who they are. Dunn is injured and hasn't done a thing. Drum is nowhere to be seen. who else is there. I would like to see collard in the team for pace. and keep warnie in to.

But again what younsters?

Hi Eagle fans,

Can you please let us sulk to ourselves for atleast a day and leave the bagging of Freo (which we deserve) to the main AFL forum.

Thanks

we were 6-7 last year so there is still hope. doesnt mean its going to happen again though

You'll get up there..
No doubt about it.
Rnd 7 next week..plenty of time...

Hawks-Home --can beat them
Geelong-Away--can beat them
St.Kilda-Home--can beat them

3 wins there for sure..

Thanks for the support, we dont deserve it this week.

I dont know who to pick for my tips these days. Everythings all over the place, i wouldnt guarentee Hawks,Cats or the Saints a win straight up.

I reckon we are going to go 11-11 again. I can't take another year like that.

Discussion point: what do you think Connolly has to do to keep his job? Will scraping into the finals be enough. It's been six years. :thumbsd:

I'm not really a Connolly basher, but what does he have to do?
