Anyway Hingis beat Ivanovic 6-4, 6-2. Very disappointing performance from Ana today. Her serve wasn’t working and she hit a ton of unforced errors. A good tournament but a disappointing conclusion.

After the depressing sight of two players trying to play like men in the final at melbourne. One managing to play like a 17 year old and beating the other who reached the level of a good 13 year old it is nice to see one of the very few women's players with any real game at all not based on imitating male power at slow mo. win the event.

Hingis is the best female tennis player on the tour.
