The point is: the media is not an infallible reference point for contract figures. They report what they're told.

Now, a bloke on the internet is obviously no better so believe what you like.

But there's not a chance Hurley re-signed for $800K.

Didn't take the Bombers supporters to start trolling this thread. I suspect the same on the Pies one as well.

As disappointed as I am, good luck to them. Essendon have done an amazing job to lure them all back after they completely f***** over their careers and there is no doubt they had to offer overs to get them back.

This will go full circle though. Hard to rebuild when you've just signed on a heap of blokes on massive deals who have had no footy under their belts for the last 12 months and I doubt we'll be planning to play against them in the finals this side of 2020.
