Should you consider trading buckley? You play a lot better without him, and as he has stated more than a number of times, is only interesting in winning a flag, which your current team doesnt have the depth in talent to do.

Without him, you seem to play more as a team, and help each other out, and the midfield becomes one combined focussed unit.

Trade him while he's still worth something. Ideally to Port. A win for all concerned?

Do you, or do you not win more games without him, than with him?

The choice is simple:
a) Chance at a flag in the next couple of years.
b) Keep Buckley.

there is no correlation between our form and buckley playing. It is sheer coincedence. Have a look at the team's weve played when he hasnt been in (Port is the only exception) they have all been ****. no way in the world would we trade him. Have a look at the amount of number 5's on the back of all our supporters, it would be Collingwood's darkest day.

Tell me Grayham, now that Sydney are performing so strongly, does this mean you should have traded Paul Kelly and Tony Lockett a few years ago, because you play so much better without them?

Good call. Grayham, you are a *******.

This is the same dip s_hi_t that accuses other people of trolling.
If Sidley win a game, any player, regardless of who they might be, should be kept out of the side because the side played well without him.
I wonder if this fool really believes the crap he churns out.

Dont worry about Sydney, this is the collingwood board.

I understand how buckley is loved by all collingwood supporters.
But can I raise a hypothetical:
Would you trade Buckley if you were "guaranteed" a flag ?

Look how much a washed up Carey was worth on the trade market. You could get a decent ruckman, and a key defender. Suddenly definate flag material.... and your midfield still purs along.

we wouldnt be guaranteed a flag without buckley, we are a lesser side without Buckley. I see what your trying to say, but its like saying would you root your own sister to win a flag (sorry best analogy i could come up with). Its a hypothetical. What if we were guaranteed a flag without Bucks, then ended up playing **** for the next 10 years.

We will never EVER trade him, and we would be worse off without him. This is a man who opposition clubs despise, yet supporters who hate us still rate him as the second best player in the comp.

IMO he is a hugely valuable resource, in an area which you have more than enough talent. Especially now with Woey there. You havent even missed Lockyer as far as centre clearences go.

Igmoring the personality of the man, would you be better of with a star ruckman and key defender, than a star midfielder?

IMO, Collingwood should trade one of their midfielders for a ruckman. You've proven that you can still win without buckley, and he is the most valuable in terms of trade value out of all of them.

Harsh decision, but if Buckley was traded to a top 4 team, he would probably be ok with it.

Won't happen - Buckley & Eddie McChins are a package deal. You'd need to throw in a President (who luvs the sound of their own voice & getting their heads on telly) as trade bait.

David (Botox) Smorgon & Nathan Brown?
Rod (Miami Vice) Butterrs & Lenny Hayes?
Richard (Skase) Colless & the Swans midfield

.....am hoping some Pies supporters have a sense of humour...and BTW Grayham...your ISP should cancel your account for that post. Hand in your modem son - that was a shocker if you're serious old son!

Kangaroos traded Carey well after he was at his peak

Bucks is still at his peak - still the best midfielder in the game (apologies to Voss and Wanganeen)

Ask again in 2 years perhaps

Isnt this the best time to trade him?

He is probably in his last year of absolute peak (40 posessions a game) form.

Probably.

I'd take a straight swap for Voss.

Otherwise no deal.

Does anyone care what this troll says?

He is merely a Collingwood obsessed troll - Look at his sig! :o

I guess he is good for a laugh

Little net gain.

What about a straight swap for Primus ?

Because of the new ruck rules Primus' career is in a state of limbo. He either has to find a new way to combat the centre square, or he can follow McKee's lead into the seconds.

You only think I am a troll because I paint a realistic picture of where collingwood are at. (Ok, sometimes, rarely, I go a little far, but they are easy to spot).

Understandibly, you lot as collingwood supporters will have an inflated view of your team. Naturally.

You all know deep down that you dont have the team to win the flag, and even less chance if the MCG rule changes.

But you have an abundance of talent in some areas (midfield), and weaknesses in others. They way to make yourself a serious contender quickly is to trade based on this. You have proven you can win big games without buckley, and he would get you the best deal on the open market.

Maybe we believe you are a troll(and a top one in that!) is because you seem to have 2 loves on BF - Sydney and posting threads which are negative towards Collingwood(Some constructive, Most Not).

It's down right sad you give us this much attention.

There are other teams you can talk about as well grayham.

This is not a troll, and if you overlook your emotional attachment to Buckley, its actually constructive.
