Trade Spriggs, McCarthy for Whitnall

Potential to lose pounds under our firness coach. Reads the play well and was voted by his peers a few years ago as the smartest footballer in the AFL. Solid body and can kick a goal. Could straighten us further.

He was dissappointing on the weekend because of his poor workrate which is a concern.

Losing Spriggs is no great loss as we have shown we can cover our midfielders, we have enough depth there.

Whitnall is a far better kick than McCarthy and has similar marking ability.

I think the fatman is only 25.

Only problem is, he may not want to come as hoops aren't that flattering for a big man. We should be able to change that though.

Seriously Spriggs and McCarthy are no great loss, both have potential and will never be regulars at Geelong. Maybe a club will suit them.

As for Carlton accepting that offer of Spriggs and McCarthy I dont think they would.

I would (AND IM SURE GEELONG WOULD) take Whitnall at that price but the Blues wouldnt let him go for that...And I wouldn't pay over the hill for him.
