Have essendon been made to look stupid?
With the comments coming from Mark Harvey ( saying that he had fun playing games with the essendon people and clagging up our time so no trade was made) has this made Knighter look silly.
Coming into trade week we had Bradley, Johnson and Dyson as potential trades to another team. Out of these 3 the first to get delisted on form would have to have been Dyson. Freo offer him a 3 year deal so we think that we must keep him and give him a 2 year deal. 1 year was the maximum he deserved at essendon.
At the start of trade week Bradley for a first round was the option with supposedly 8 clubs interested but maybe not at that asking price. Here you have a KPP with nearly 50 games who is just 22 and was a first round pick, everyone would have been somewhat happy with that but instead we look at getting a pick in the 40's from freo who then change their mind.
Mark Johnson was being looked at by port but freo kept them at bay by showing more interest.
Mark Harvey is a bitter stupid man, you should never burn your own backyard and that is what he has done. He would have been welcomed back to essendon with open arms now with the contempt he has shown us and our club he cant expect anything but verbal insults from the members. Poaching our support staff, trying to poach players and also being bitter about not being offered the essendon job 12 months ago. really harvs I would expect better and will be giving it to you all guns blazing next time you come to melbourne.
History shows that essendon wont be down for long and that freo are under-achieving. When they sack you harvs in 3 years time enjoy the bed you have made for yourself.
To the essendon fools that believe dyson is worth a 2 year deal wake up. Even donsman4eva (who is his biggest follower) would admit 1 year to prove himself would be enough.
We now have to get rid of MJohnson, Peverill just to get 5 picks in the draft. Those that think we need these players are kidding themself as we have heaps that can play on ball - with dyson, rama, hocking adding to last years onballers. Big doubt still exists over Bradley who should be safer that Lee and Johns but this is not the case.
