Talk is North won't take him with 29 and their next pick is 38. He could be there at 29 but definitely won't be there after with Bulldogs and Essendon among those clubs who are interested.

Boo Dowler was a number 6 pick as was Thorp.....Ellis was a number 3 pick.

Why is there 2 weeks for the delisted free agents period - nothing is happening because no one cares - this could have been done in 2 days.

We would love to get him with 29, although I am not sure Hawthorn would be happy with us using your pick to get Jacobs.

We have 15, 38, 42, 48, 58, 78.

We are also looking at Hine, I wouldn't be over-confident of getting either Jacobs or Hine unless they front-load a contract which might thin out the number of clubs that could squeeze him into their 2013 TPP.

Daniel Currie was a high draft pick by the Sydney Swans in the 2006 draft. He spent 5 years on the Swans list. Was injury prone during his time at the Swans. He had a great year in the SANFL this year and could quite possibly be re drafted by an AFL club. I don't think we will take him though.

The AFL Draft Machine also has us taking Jed Anderson with our second pick. That's two references I've seen now that seem to imply that we have to draft Anderson. Surely this is not the case? He is a traded player isn't he?

As for rookie-listing a state league ruckman, one that I like the look of is Michael Sikora from Sandringham. 206cm, 103kg, former basketballer turned footballer

No thanks. Relies way too much on his height and fails to actually get into the correct position at ruck contests. Will be found out at AFL level, mind you his handballing is dodgy as.

Toy has to be a chance doesn't he? I got the feeling that essendon, the doggies and ourselves were clambering for his signature during trade week. Seems strange that its come to this.

Ex-Swans ruckman. Pushed out by a long list of guys. IMHO, will struggle to make it.
But could be one of those late bloomers, who knows.

Could see Hawks rookie-ing him, a la Paul Johnson/Skipper etc.

I wouldn't have thought so, based on previous GWS and GC zone selections that got traded.

Yeah he's a trade, he's on your list.
The 'draft machine' appears to be broken.
It's also got Joel Tippett (Kurt's little brother, delisted by the Lions and GC) going at pick 40 something.

They should know.
GC have probably withdrawn that contract, effectively waiving any rights to him, and letting him go with their blessing.

I dare say that was a goodwill gesture on the part of GC, to ensure he wasn't taken by an interstate team. He is desperate to come home for family reasons, so kudos to the GC for that.
