Thoughts on Nahas? Looks to be on the outer at Richmond, would be happy to give up 3rd or 4th rounder.
We have enough small forwards and good ones as well.

If we are to trade in then what type of player are we lacking in the next 2-3 years?

Large defenders?

The rest can be drafted and developed and that's what we are doing.

yep, probably behind neade but ahead of hitchcock and brett ebert. I expect wingard to move into the middle in the coming years and I am not sure how gray will go on his return.

let's see how the year progresses

You'd take him for a 4th rounder any day. That said there's good reason Nahas cant get a game at Richmond, he couldn't lay a tackle to save his life.

IN
a B+/A- player in an area we're lacking

out
1st round dp and a 15-25 player

Not sure whether youve seen him play at all, In 2012 was top 5 in league for tackles I50....king and edwards are in front of him at the mo but an acccomplished senior player that always seems to play well at aami

Interesting. I'd never have picked that, he always seems flaky when I've watched him play.

Edit: Why is it a player top 5 for tackles I50 and kicked 30 goals isn't in your best 22?

The blokes in the team are playing well, took their opportunities and possibly moved past him...

Mate tbh id find a spot, but i think theres a view edwards king and nahas is too many smalls. I reckon nahas has more tricks than kingy coz he can run into the midfield. Coaches love kingy though coz he has grunt and mongrel. Nahas is outa contract and if his chances dont improve i could see him leaving....good player and courageous, wears the bumps always bounces up

Nahas falls over too much, small forwards need to be clean. Hes just not an AFL standard player.

Just get another clearance mid in so Gray, Wingard, Monfries, Neade can stay forward.

There should be 3 categories of player for us to recruit.

1/- Experienced 25 & over player only if he is guaranteed best 22 at our club.

2/- Junior &/or inexperienced player with untapped potential plus scope to grow & achieve a successful AFL career.

3/- A player identified to fill a specific need.

Kicked 30 g last year and about same year before, would have thought that meets afl standard but you re entitled to your opinion, not sure he d meet a gap in your emerging side, will for others though

We got Wingard in 2011 and Wines in 2012. Seems like the Ws are working out well for us.

On that highly informed basis, I'd say that Wilson is the one to go for this year.

Luke Reynolds, good size, long kicking left footer from Port Adelaide.

"plays like Jobe Watson" screams "slow, but smashes midfielders his age because of the size advantage he won't have in the AFL"

That's what some people said about Wines ;)

That said, we probably don't need him now that we have Wines anyway. I vote best available speedy line-breaking midfielder or key forward, unless there's a massive slider.
