Carlton to offer Chocco: Nick Stevens, 1st round pick for Brogan

Disgusted with this offer, Chocco allows Brogan to go into pre-season draft and Pies pick him up with Pick 16

as if the Eagles need another ruckman.
 
I think we should target Brisbane's talls but Leigh Matthews being the staunch bastard he is will want a lot for a ruck man like Charman, Wood or MacDonald especially when trading with Collingwood. Also here's a thought maybe Seaby could be potential draft pick or as mentioned before reunite the Lonie Brothers in Port by receiving Brogan on return or last but not least depending on the draft recruit a young kid
 
The focus of this year should be RUCKMAN!!!!!!!! We have defenders coming up, we have fwds coming through and midfielders now. We need RUCKMAN!!!!

and mick needs to give BRYAN more of a bloody go!!!

In the draft hopefully we get say pick 12 or so. Then we go for a midfielder with a bit of strength and zip.
Then imo we have blokes like egan, lonie (hate to say it), richards, rusling and maybe nicholls.
A mature ruckmen is what we need. Im gonna throw a few names out there and give me your thoughts.
1) Brogan
2) Robert Campbell
3) Steven King (doubt it)
4) Charman
5) Wood
6) Knobel
7) Meesen

But i reckon we should have chased clark keating last year even if he was only around for a year or two.

Charman the only one I would be interested in. The rest struggle to get games at their own clubs.

And we don't wanna steal Carlton's next ruckman.

Charman and Wood are the two standouts in that list. I'd be stoked if we could get either, but they'd come at a hefty price and I doubt Brisbane would want to let either go.

Wood, maybe, as they have Leuenberger and Clark as reserves.
 
I remember Lonie as a alright player but havent really seen him since 2005 I guess. Considering he's not playing at the moment we could trade him for someone, and Richards as well. A player like Lonie and a first or second round pick could get us some good players.

1) Brogan - Maybe, but as a rule do not deal with Port
2) Robert Campbell - Hawks will not part with him
3) Steven King (doubt it) - He is finished
4) Charman - Brisbane will want the earth for him
5) Wood - Best option, looks good & will not be a place for him when Leunenberger steps up, Brisbane will probably want defenders for him & or draft picks.
6) Knobel - finished
7) Meesen - don't know much about him but second best option out of these.

Others to consider are:
Biglands - coming off knee & Adelaide have Hudson, Griffen & Meesen. I dont rate him that highly however & is basically another Bryan (just better).
Max Bailey - did his knee last year with the Hawks, big young kid & the Hawks have Campbell, Taylor, Renouf & another kid so will have problem coming back in. They may rate him better than Taylor who then becomes an option.
Laycock - shown good form lately, bombers probably need him too much though as their ruck stocks are not great.

Nah. He was out round one with a hammy or something... He is fit but has not played a game since. He's been a emergency alot though. If Mick is only playing him if some one is injured (even then he never makes it into the side) we should trade him for a good ruckman. He's played alot of footy for williamstown.

Lonie + a second rounder for Charman
Lonie for Wood.

Both look OK for Brissy, who need a backman.
 
Charman is no chance. He is Queenland born with family and a successful local business.
If I were Collingwood I would look at:
Laycock
Wood
Mcdonald
Meeson
Maric
Biglands
Hale
Brogan
