Training 03/12/07

Took some pictures at the junction today. Hope you guys enjoy.

There was a side group of around 10 which included Sylvia, Moloney, Green, Juice, Bartram, Sampi and Petterd. There were 2 sets of 1500's for the rest with the best performers in order being Brock, Jonesy, Meesen, Wheatley and Bruce. It wasn't a very strenuous session tohugh and finished after about 1 hour and 15 mins.

The draftees trained seperately to the group for the most part but they all trained quite well. There looked to be a large amount of unknown players trying out for a spot on the list through the 2 remaining drafts.

Cheers Deeman, great work Jeez Davey and Buckley have added some muscle over the off season. Like the look of Chris Kangars, think we should get him ahead of Sampi in the PSD assuming David Gourdis is gone.

Sampi looks a little rounded doesn't he... i really dont know what to do with him... i heard he cant do much work due to a dodgy knee..

Brocky looks like his bicepts are even bigger... got very much like a Nathan Buckley body type...

They're the training invitees mate - Morris, Lyons and Kangars are three of them in that shot.

Good photos, we're lucky Demons fans always seems to be someone at training from Bigfooty, Demonland or Demonology ready to give a training report and put up a few photos.

great pics thanks for posting them......not only has davey bulked up but he is really ripped hopefully this means he is headed for the midfield....i really hope we don't draft sampi he's not lookin to good!

Good stuff DeeMan. Some nice pics of the draftees there and Morton does look pretty rangy. I would definately prefer we didn't draft Sampi and go for someone like a Kangars, that didnt get drafted.

EDIT: Juice is looking in very good shape.

Granted Sampi doesn't look in the best shape, but he definitely looks better than last time there is still hope for him. Have a look at the boney little chicken legs on him though?

i have heard that neville is pretty good does any one know much about him?(eg height,position he plays) and is he in any of the pictures?

gees based on that last photo, a few months into the job and Dean Bailey is looking old... he almost looks as old as Ronny Mather the property steward.

Neville is 22 yr old, listed 189cm/85kg, from Coburg Tigers, plays in the midfield, racked up plenty of possessions in the VFL - he just finds the footy. Isnt super quick or brilliantly skilled, but a hard worker and dedicated player who his Coburg coach from this year Andy Collins was a huge wrap for.

It's a brilliant marketing strategy by the club, imagine the airtime that Mo will get in the media

If its mullets you're talking about, pretty sure Morton's is putting everyone else's to shame by the looks of those photos. Whitey likes to keep his neat, our Cale looks like letting it run wild and free.
