hey guys here is some observations from quiet world on demonology about the boys training today:
Greetings all,
I had a look at training today. I missed the start but have the following observations:
Re-hab group: Watts, Gawn, Fitzpatrick, Tapscott, Blease, Davey, Howe (I think), Spencer, Trengove, Jurrah, Jetta, Joel Mac and maybe one or 2 others. T Mac was there but didn't train.
Bail was back with the main group and some took part in some of the drills eg Blease.
Dunn is very bargie and has massive thighs - all very measured I suspect. Also bigger in the thighs (to me anyway) was Trengove and Jetta
Juice has put on size but I wouldn't call him porkie by any stretch. He trained well, but I dont think anyone was going to get a handball out of him.
Trained strongly - Beamer, Sylvia, Green, Jones and planty of others. Scully was a standout also.
Most vocal: Sylvia
The new boys: Dead impressed with Cook in the last drill. Strong mark, read the play very well and slotted goals. He managed to bump Garland out of the way which was not bad for a stick insect. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get a game or 2 if they can afford to have Watts and him in the same side - given their lack of bulk. Having said that, having Daniel Merrett as an opponent (for eg) is another matter all together.
Tom MacDonald - made a few mistakes in one of the earlier drills but didn't have trouble with the pace.
Troy Davis: Agile and did a couple of nice spoils but appeared to be coming to terms with the drills. NB I didn't see much of him and only realised towards the end who he was.
Howe: I think he was in the rehab group - doing run-throughs with Trengove and Spencer.
I couldn't tell who any of the 'permission to train' players were. One of them is another full on ranga - I thought it was Cheney for a sec.
Trengove - not sure what his injury is but is moving very slowly. Big Jake Spencer had him covered, not that it was a race to the death or anything.
Max Gawn is a big lad (height wise but a few extra kgs still needed.
Maric wore a yellow fluro top (the only player). Not sure why but maybe being trainer of the week or something.
Cale Morton may have been there but did not notice hin.
All thanks to Quiet world on Demonology

Looks like he barely has the strength to handball it!
