Douglas really does look a lot heavier. Looks to have put in some hard work. That's probably what was hold him back a little last season... so it looks like he'll be firing up 2008!

Tippett is just enormous, can't wait to see him.

You're right, he will be a monster in a few years. Heard he also likes the hard stuff, reckon he might kill someone one day.

Geez Douglas has put on some more weight. Actually looking at those pics it seems quite a few of them have stacked on the muscle. Good sign.

Jeez the young fellas are really bulking up, not just the ones mentioned, but VB looks great as well, Campbell and VInce look great, Dougies guns are pumping up huge and like someone said, Tippetts a monster

Also Moran looks in great shape from the earlier pic, every bit of his 100kg

Great pics! Some observations:

• Maric has bulked up significantly. Great weight for a ruckman.
• Mackay’s probably put on 3-4 kg’s which is great because he was a rake this time last year.
• DOUGLAS! Has added at least 5kg’s and should now ready for full time midfield duties. That was the main thing holding him back and one of my major queries.
• Griffin’s on a diet. Obviously can’t put on weight.
• VB’s huge!
• Tippett’s a big boy!
• Sellar looks in pretty good shape.

Perhaps the example that was made of your boy Pfieffer was the wake up Jimmy needed, or perhaps this bad attitude he was supposed to have was nothing more than innuendo caused by a mix of op, sickness and adopting to a MASSIVE step up in training and fitness requirements

Going from those photos I think Sellar looks in MUCH better shape than he did last season.

VB - well what can you say, did anyone expect any less?

Bock's shoulders are almost Rutten like. Hopefully he gets over his injury issues and can actually run in 08.

So the main thing to come from this is that our tall timber is by and large bulked right up (except Griffin, although there is a full pre season to be had between now and the start of the season for him) and Richie Douglas is now built like a little tank. He's going to be a big improver I expect.

Stiffy is fat, but it doesn't matter he's used to being a bit chubby at this time of the year.

Pigs arse it doesnt matter. He is fat! Too fat to be part of the midfield rotations, again. IMO, he is the big P/S disappointment, again. He hasnt come on in recent years, mainly due to lazieness and bad habits, including smoking. I cant understand how the club can so ruthlessly deal with some, yet let Johncock get away with letting the club down the way he does every year. I wouldnt have been disappointed if we had traded him. I just dont think he earns his keep, and we could have got much more for him than we did for players who put in 10 times more yet were regarded tradable. Before you shoot me down, I concur he has great talent, and thats why he would attract interest elsewhere. However, he will never reach his full potential because frankly, he doesnt want it enough, a crime most would get flicked for. There should be no gold tickets at our club IMO, and unfortunately for all of us wanting to see his best, Johncock has one and uses it regularly.
