Can someone tell me how Nathan Eagleton is going. He is not my favourite player. IMO he only looks good when we are on and looks absolutely terrible when things aren't going right. I would like to hear your opinions on this matter.

I agree with you. He si in my opinion another soft player :(

He is what about 28 years old now and isn't getting any younger. I don't think his habits will change but i think he is going alright from what i have heard. He is doing the same as previous years so nothing special.

I'm glad that I'm not the only person that thinks hes a passenger (or your typical "downhill skier"). I don't like to bag our players, but he is an exception.

To his defense though. He has caused teams havoc when he is on song. That is because he is sometimes very hard to match up on. When teams get the better of Cooney, West and Cross which mind you rarely happens. He bobs up and does his job. I just hope he is more consistent at that. :thumbsu:

Also lion hearted welcome to big footy :D

One question is though who do you barrack for the doggies or Brisbane ?
im confused because you have a Brisbane avatar but you say you support the dogs?

I was really looking forward to be at Rd.1 to see Johnno 300th game but I will be on my honeymoon in NZ and arrive back the Tuesday after the game.

Definately a Doggie through and through. My avatar is of my local footy team I support. WRFL Div.2 team Deer Park

I've seen eagle running his guts out around the field, because he plays that role of a 'run into space' player when we aren't winning the ball he will hardly get a touch.

I think he could play a more defensive role in the midfield, I remember him having a good patch as a run with a few years ago when he was out of form, with a few young guys on his tail he may be used differently. Love the lay off to eagle for the 55 left footer, gonna be interesting to see how he goes.

Eagle is the type of player who can be great as long as things are going our way, he can really tear the opposition apart.

Unfortunately for him he may struggle a little this year to cement a spot in the 22 as I don't think our side is ready to support his type of play week in, week out, particularly if we are serious about playing a more disciplined and harder game.

If we end up having a ripper season and become contenders for the finals and possibly the top four, he could provide us with some finishing class in the latter part of the season which is needed at the business end of the year.

"Super Goal" Eagleton
was the nick-name my mates gave him this year after he goaled from over 55. Unfortunately scoring 8 in a limp competitions was near the most he did all season.
Looking forward to seeing more "Super Goal" this year.

I couldn't envisage they'd do too much tomorrow as they are training on Saturday in Glen Waverley for the East meets West day.

I think they are training 6 days a week at the moment and it was a light session on Wednesday so perhaps it will be much of the same.
