West. Allan in black
Buller. Membrey white
Both Steele and Anderson were in white

Can you play all of Allan. Anderson. Long and pendles?
I would say long would be the odd man out in that scenario.

Anderson and pendles will play. I want us to give more midfield time for Allan and continue his evaluation. Need to see if the game against Sydney was a one off or is he able to succeed in his natural position at this level.

Surely buller in white is just for matchups? We would be mad not to play him.

Aren’t we using Long in the ruck at some stoppages? A Cripps type.

They’re actually gonna drop Buller aren’t they. It’s too good to be true.

they have to
he was horrendous
he actually gave up in some of those ruck contests
didnt once try and get front position at boundary throw ins, just done the same thing over and over again and sooked it up

our forward line set up should be
its West or Membrey
its Mcstay or Buller
with the bolded being my first choice

I’m thinking

IN: Moore, Pendlebury, Cameron, Lipinski
OUT: Steene, Parker, Anderson, Steele

I’m still not sure lol

This leaves us pretty short ahead of the ball. Buller might be no good at rucking but he currently gets to more marking contests than West. Might not kill us against WCE but not sure about it long term with Steene out

Interesting, maybe it is going to be between Anderson and roan, which would be disappointing.

It seems like maybe the plan would be to swap buller with membrey, and have mcstay pick up the slack as the second ruck.

i would rather be short and mobile than tall and non competitive

I just don't know where the assumption that going with that lineup would lead to more competitiveness comes from

not having Buller in there
im still fuming from his mediocre effort last week
he can stay in the reserves for a while

i cant see how he could possibly could get a pass mark from last week, cost us the game

Roan Steele ran 17.5kms against Sydney, he'd be stiff to miss out this week but I wonder if they'd opt to 'manage' him this week due to all that running. Especially with Lipinski becoming available again.

I don't think we're in a position to drop him. We buried him leaving him in the ruck too long against Grundy and it cooked him. It happens
