 o_O Would have thought you'd require better concentration when you're constantly having to deal with more shots
Different kind of concentration. When you are active, you're in the game, you're switched on.

Keepers who play for top clubs can do nothing for 89 minutes, then are required to make a worldie. It's a very different kind of concentration, a different pressure.

If you're the Sunderland keeper and you let a couple in. Oh well. It's Sunderland, but it's different at a top club.

The difference between Pickford and Mignolet is negligible at best apart from distribution where Pickford kills him. I'd take Pickford over Mignolet because of that but there is no massive gulf in class between them. I think Mignolet is a bit underrated and I say that as someone who's not a massive fan of his. People act like he's one of the worst keepers in the league but he's not.

I'm also not having that Gueye, Schneiderlin, McCarthy & Barry are better than Henderson, Lallana, Wijnaldum & Can.
Gueye, schienderlin, Davies and klassen is a much better quartet then Henderson, lallana, wijnaldum and can. Mind you your attack shits on ours

Rooney pretty much confirmed not sure what to think tbh

Going by the last few pages I'm amazed we finished top 4 and Everton 7th

Worse keeper, worse back 4, worse midfield, 2 of our front 3 were out injured for months. We should have finished 10th really.

I said your attack was heaps better it's no secret it was the best in the PL you were let down by your defence and non existent defensive midfield setup

You conceded more goals than us last season...... and that's with Koeman being a defensive twat in most games

i really dont get it from everton's standpoint.

if he wasnt from everton would they be interested at all? unlikely.
Bloody oath, this man is the current captain of England and Manchester United, whilst he's not the player he once was he's still a good player.

This season we've got the Europa League (that we'll have to start in July), it's time we've taken the domestic cups seriously and most important we need to continue to improve our league performances. His experience, history of winning and playing in big games is enormous, to be able to use Rooney as a sub and cup player would be fantastic. He's replacing Arouna Kone's spot in the squad, that's a ridiculous improvement.

I think we've now shown that we've got the money and ambition, this is a new Everton. However enhancing the clubs reputation takes a long time to improve, signing a player of Wayne's reputation can really help the club grow, he's still one of the most well known footballers going around. Rooney has 14million followers on Twitter and 25million on Faecbook. The official Everton account has 1million on Twitter and 3million on Facebook. Whilst I'll reiterate that onfield performances are more important that anything but having our club more spoken about it in the media and by football fans also helps the club bring in better players with a larger reputation and a lot more revenue.

Rooney coming home adds a lot to it, I think it's an awesome story to see him come home but he was long a United player when I started watching football, I really don't have any connection with him and Everton but I'm still excited about this!

Pretty sure if he does end up at Everton, it's not to sit on the bench and play cup games.

They don't listen, It's rather futile.

He won't be our first choice striker mate, we've already signed Sandro Ramirez and presuming Lukaku leaves another striker would be signed.

You'd imagine we'll play over fifty games next season so he'll be used a bit but Koeman likes to play a 4-3-3 with out a someone playing the true number 10 role so I'd be shocked if we seen him play in the midfield, he'll be used as a striker rotation.

the guy has scored 13 league goals in the last 2 seasons. i presume he would end up being the highest paid player in the squad, or at least near it. sure he's popular, he has a presence, he has the trophies, etc etc, but by being new everton, they're kind of being old everton. why go back? this isn't 26-27 year old rooney. it's a few months off 32 rooney.

if he's being signed as a backup players on big wages just to help the profile of the club, plus the back home angle, and as a sub/cup player, then i don't get how this is a new everton. dont get me wrong, i think what everton have done so far is excellent, but i don't see what he brings to everton on field. do everything to keep lukaku instead, and if he goes, throw money at belotti.

To be fair though mate he's had limited minutes over the last two seasons and when he has played he was often used as an attacking central midfielder. It's almost certain he wouldn't regularly play that role here. (I'd be disappointed if he did)

The details of a potential deal are sketchy, Jim White was talking about the potential of a loan, the local rag, the Liverpool Echo are talking about a 12 month deal so whilst he's still going to be on very large wages we're not investing a real transfer fee and I'd expect him to generate a nice amount of income for the club so the financial side of the deal doesn't really worry me.

I know this really isn't a long term signing but we've already signed 5 blokes all under the age of 24, we're entering the biggest transition the club has had in decades. I really think bringing in a mature player of Wayne's experience and quality for a season will do us well.

Whilst I agree with you. I'm sure Wayne doesnt. No chance he comes to Everton if Koeman has said he will play cup games and warm the bench in the league. He could have done that at United.
