Can you not see how buying up a shit load of foreigners every summer while flogging off your (at times promising) English youth is not conducive to creating a club that fans can identify and be at one with? Talked to a few Chelsea fans and they feel like that. They've had all the success but the feeling is they want something different now. In other words a club with a proper identity

Spot on. I think the difference is I was talking with fans before the Roman era who understand Chelsea and its history. The others are more your kind of plastics who don't really understand the deeper point
