Yet they only lose the title to the all conquering Real Madrid on goal difference...

Interesting move for him

He was highly rated at Atalanta, but went downhill once he went to Inter.

Wonder if he's jetlagged?

Paris to London to Barcelona back to London and now to Paris, all within 24 hours or so.

Always thought McManaman had potential

Who knows, could work out for him

I never thought Josh King or Junior Stanislas were much chop at all and destined for long careers in the Championship, yet there they were performing for Bournemouth last season in the top flight.
if you watched him play last year you'd know what I mean.

still waiting on mahrez and pea personally.
Three times from SB today I was told the bets have been put through for finalising.

I personally believe they are waiting for the Spanish window to close, which is bs, the bets specifically state before September 1st so if anyone moves now that's too bad for them.

Got a free bet out of complaining tho.

Late 2012, Wenger talks up the new 'British core' to build our next title winning team around. Successful venture I'd conclude.

Zoom in on Ox's document, I think it says

On the other hand, how many English, or even British, players have actually turned out to be in the region of world class lately? I'm struggling to get any further than Gareth Bale and Harry Kane

Lol casually forgetting Theo Walcott are you?

£140k a week well spent!

Jordan Pickford? Jordan Henderson? Jermaine Defoe? Mate you have absolutely no idea.

I think the description of world class gets handed out far too easily IMO. To be world class you need to be the best or at least in the top 2 or 3 in your position. There are no British players who are world class.

World class means competing at a level where you can take on anyone in the world, successfully, consistently. There can easily be more than 2 or 3 people per position in that role, and at other times, there may not be any. Bale, if he wasn't injured so much, could probably fit the bill as a British player. Give a few of the young lads a few more years and I think England will have world class players again. Kane hasn't really done it in an international, has he? Lallana has been playing some really good football under Klopp, and Hendo, and now Sturridge, are underestimated, but "world class" does demand consistent strong performances. Injury-prone players like pretty much all of the Brits from Arsenal don't have much of a chance.
