So close to the entire average allowable loss per year?

30m over a 5 year contract is only 6m in next year's accounts.

Yeah, I know.

My point is, there's plenty of other examples of sides being compelled to sell, because of poor or irresponsible financial management, but Chelsea keep buying.

A club in their position shouldn't be buying at all.

In fact, they should probably be in league one at this point.....

It might have something to do with the below.

2021 - £153.4m loss
2022 - £121.3m loss
2023 - £90.1m loss
2024 - £128.4m profit (Bohley sells 2 x hotels and his Chelsea women's team to his own holding company with a $0 capital book value)
2025 - ?

Their losses are all similar, 2024 loss would have been inline with their others without their financial doctoring.

I guess the positive here is, they can't help themselves and their football club is unsustainable.

The next dodgy financial deal is only around the corner, as they are due for one to avoid PSR points deductions.

So just in time I guess:

Lets see how this is manipulated as football related revenue shall we......

Because you consistently blow through the 3 year allowable losses, year on year?

Your current books are generally run at a rate of 3 x over the rules?

Is your shirt sponsorship going to be £60m per annum above your current one?

That would have to be a record....

Can you imagine if an AFL club spent 3 x the salary cap every year?

They've gambled on us getting back into UCL before selecting a shirt sponsorship so it will be interesting to see who it is and for how much. We did have Paramount lined up last time we were in it for £60m but the league said no.

Our squad nowadays won't need the excessive spending like it did the last few seasons so I think it'll only be 2 or 3 major signings which our out going should easily be able to cover.
