I'm not sure either, Real have a similar system with their pitch and don't get the volume of injuries Spurs do so it's a weird one.

Real have had a few ACLs too to be fair.

Healthy wage and considerable signing on fee whilst living in London I’d suggest is the bigger influence on that decision rather than for footballing reasons.

Ignoring the mealy mouthed politicians answer at the start, all the more hilarious as this was an internal PR interview. But the end would be the first time in 25 years of ownership someone has admitted there's an issue with wages.

I'm still skeptical because saying you'll rectify wages means nothing if you can't attract those that deserve it. Otherwise you end up like some other clubs that pay gargantuan wages to players a bit below that top echelon and you can't move them on as a result.

Fair. Spuds have loads of soft tissue injuries tho and from what I've read they often have to do with training and loads. Ange when he was there was accused of flogging them in training and playing such a high intensity game.

Would be silly not to let him go given his injury history. If we can get 20m for him I'd take that and run.

Arsenals squad is too big, too much talent on the bench. I think two star attacking players in, 4 out is the way to go. But more likely 3 out, 2 in.
Trossard, Jesus are players i hope are bid on, for their sake as well.
Surely Dowman plays a fair bit more next season. He finishes school in July as well. I assume if he does A Levels it is just some sort of external course/ private tutor maybe an A-Level college.

Expecting Jesus, Nwaneri, and one of Martinelli/Trossard to be offloaded this summer.

If Alvarez ends up joining I'd expect one of Gyokeres or Havertz to be moved on too.

I've no idea how they can afford all this business. They are still after a left sided CB as well.

We have a big rebuild ahead.

VVD might stay an extra season until 2028 but he won't be able to play every match either. He would play a similar role to what Thiago Silva did for you guys. Meaning we need 2 x CBS in the next few years unless Lucky steps up as a quality CB. Leoni is coming off an ACL. Jacquet is quality but both of these are young.

His dribbling stats are up near Yamal and Olise.
The market is bonkers these days, 100m now is the 50m of five years ago so if we can afford him and still buy 3 or 4 others, not all of whom will cost that much that we need I'd do it.

That market level is reserved for the idiotic, brain dead clubs.

Which is why they continue to lose ground year on year to the smarter clubs and why they now have to consistently compete with them for European places, something they wouldn’t have dreamed of 15-20 years ago.

Only two big transfers last season rank anywhere near the shortlist in £/goal contributions and they were Cherki and Pedro, which were still nowhere near the absolute best signings of the season (Kroupi)

In fact, most of these massive signings invariably rank at a multiple of 5, 10, 15x worse than the best of the season.

Where are they getting all the money from? All levers are pulled by now surely.

This one is the “Marcus Rashford is too expensive at £30 million, so we are going to blow £150 million on two different players.” lever.
