there was a bulletin started on myspace, a fair size post.


My girlfriend believed it as did thousands of other people.

People are saying it is not true so anyone got anything?
 
nah mate this has 2 be bullshit, i read it on myspace before, it said he died on the 13th, im sure if it was then the funeral would be pretty soon and that the media would have already found out. but then again... could be true, but very unlikely

Recently on November 13th famous drummer Travis Barker was found dead in his garage. "He was found in his garage coming home from a dinner/award ceremony ."said reporter Tom Burry.




Investigators are not sure of how Former +44 drummer yet died or they are not telling the public the full truth yet.


Travis's wifes exact words "everyone one in the world has someone special who has died in there life. Maybe it hasnt happen yet but please pray for Travis and my family. i would appericate it and who ever did this to Travis is a sick! man"


So if you have a heart please repost this and take a minute and pray for this great drummer known as Travis barker.


And if you dont repost this no one will kill you and no one will hurt you and no you wont have bad luck for seven years. You just not posting this shows you have no heart.

Yeah I got worried when I saw the heading in the bulletins, but the rumour started yesterday saying that he died four days ago. If he had it would be on the news by now.

Now that he's safe and well... I really can't stand this ********.. His show on MTV was one of the worst reality shows (and there's been some bad ones) and Blink really suck

Did a bunch of the production and drumming on the latest Idiot Pilot album so he gained mega respect for that from me.

Do you play drums?

the fact that he is in blink 182 makes people think that he is good, there is the same fallacy with Joey Jordison of Slipknot...
Both of these drummers are so far from the top echelon it's not even funny they can drum for what is required of their genre but you will not see either of them doing 17 against 28 polyrhythms or even playing outside of common time signatures such as 4/4, 6/8, 3/4 etc. And yes I have seen a few of his videos they are mediocre I would suggest the videos of Dennis Chambers, Buddy Rich, Dave Weckl, Bobby Jarzombek, Vinny Coliouta, Carmen Appice, Neil Peart, Terry Bozzio and Mike Portnoy among others, they are leagues above. In fact most standard rock drummers are better such as Cozy Powell, Vinny Appice, Mickey Dee and Bill Ward ... If you looked further than the first drummer you knew of you would see where he is in terms of ability.

To firstly address what I knew people would punt at. I barely listen to Blink and am far more into punk or metal. I would also suggest Travis has put up with more shit for being in Blink than plaudits gained.

I'm not a drummer, however I have two pretty experienced drummer friends that love metal and hardcore and they even agree with me that even though they have a major hate for blink182 themselves, Travis is a "good drummer", not the best and I shouldn't have said best of but I did so I'll live with it.

Of course it's all up to interpretation and if you come to that conclusion that fine. You clearly have the better knowledge than me as apart from Chambers, Appice, Powell, Appice, Dee, Ward, Portnoy and Bozzio I cant say I am familiar with the rest that you have without searching to find out. The fact you didnt name Lars or Chad really has me thinking you know your shit more than most as well.

That is all.

I think you mean Pennie, and yes he is good but that statement is wrong... I'm assuming you are a Dillinger fanboy and have only heard of portnoy out of the drummers i mentioned as he was probably the least talented out of my short list. (Pennie is probably better than portnoy there is no chance he can touch Bobby though)

Also forgot him as i'm no hard/metal/mathcore fan

thanks, I just hate it when stuff like that is made out to be fact, Travis Barker is capable of playing in the band he does that doesn't mean he is an awesome drummer. Chances are there are better drummers than any i know of so i just say i think they are good. yer

I got the same kind of myspace bulletin a while ago but it was about Gene Simmonds. I was on holidays at the time so I handed seen much tv or the newspapers so I believed it.
