it is disappointing but it doesn't mean he has a problem, how many 18 year olds go drinking with mates and take things too far? I'm sure there are just as many incidents that don't make the news.

On a lighter note at least he didn't break bones in each of his hands due to stupidity :thumbsu:

I would never defend my friends or family if they acted like a ****head. I'm one to let them know.

Same goes for players of my fave team.

Trengove has acted like a ****head in this instance, and I hope he learns from it.

Unacceptable at Port Adelaide FC.

edit: good to see he apologised, as paying for damages would've been a given anyway.

He's still a kid, he screwed up, is making amends.

Silly Boy.

Someone should introduce him to Lawrence Angwin formerly from the cows quick smart, so he can work out what happens to those who go off the rails early in their careers.

That will straighten him up quick smart!

What the hell? That's a pretty long bow to draw, comparing him with Angwin.
 
I don't think he is comparing Trengove to Angwin, just suggesting that he meet Angwin to see what COULD happen to him if he doesn't straighten up and fly right. I guess its called "Nipping it in the bud".

Looks like it only happened a couple of weeks after the draft. Poor form from what would be an overexcited junior. It's good to see the leadership group has dealt with it and trengove has and is making amends.

Jesus, if I'd have been caught for the stupid things I'd done on the piss at age 18 and for many years after I'd have been fined a million bucks - Newsflash, 18 year olds are very suceptible to doing silly things under the influence of Alcohol. This holier than thou approach people seem to take when young footballers step out of line borders on hysteria some times - I'm not saying that it is the case here, but it does seem over the top in general.

hehe you're a bit late me and REH already had our posts removed about certain incidents our cross town rivals have done. but yes the OP clearly forgot that the cows have done many silly things too.

I realise that, but you could say that of any kid who makes a mistake. FFS, he didn't get in a fight, assault a reporter, steal something, associate with mobsters, bash a barman, grab a girl's tit, or anything of the kind.

He broke a rear windscreen, accidentally, and the only thing that he has to watch is how much he drinks when he's on leave.

When he starts doing any of the things listed above, you might be justified in telling him to go visit Angwin or another similar arseclown.
