There was a thread on the main board about best bumps you've seen.

Reminded me of when Troy Cook destroyed Mitchell White a while back.

That's my fave but i havent seen it in years! Just wondering if anyone has the footage of that hit??

Cheers

Yeh good old cooky the human battering ram. He was hard as nails but very fair unlike some who get mentioned (e.g. Waters on Copeland) great bloke. Amazingly few injuries for a bloke whose almost sole mission was to tackle as hard as he could as much as he could.

Talk about the best bumps ever you could not go past Wirra and McManus.
Any other player and they would have walked out on the ground with a shovel picked up the pieces and buried him on the spot but McManus not only survived he got up and kicked a goal.
The man was made of steel

Anyone notice Belly right at the end of the clip after McManus kicks the goal?
Wonder who he was referring to having a cry?

Yes I noticed that.

For my 2 cents, I reckon it was directed at an AA wingman ( darn good player ). I remember being at this game, the wingman's sportsmanship was very ordinary that night.

If only we could put Macca & Cookie in a room with the Pointer Sister & Walters !!!!!. I love intestinal fortitude.

speaking of 'whaddaya reckon', whaddaya reckon Fletch said to Macca after Clive said his piece?

I'd reckon he said "Ignore what Crazyhorse said, just ignore it. Kick the goal".

At Subi, I always remember Cookie's perfect hip and shoulder on Daniel Motlop, it was fantastic, not for its ferocity (I'm sure it was a hard hit) but for its timing AND on Motlop's dodgy shoulder (you can see him grimace at the hit).

In the footage, the camera's focus is on the Freo player with the ball, in the background, as Motlop is chasing, Cookie comes in from the side and gives it to him!

Cookie = One of my favourite Freo players ever.
