It was plastered all over the news tonight in Perth how Simmonds hasn't re-signed and Sydney is pushing hard to get him.

I hope hes stays at Freo because hes a more than handy ruckman and can kick a few goals when forward as well but If he was traded to you guys what do you think Sydney might offer?

its a tough one, depends on how agressive Freo are at the trading table

its possible Freo could prize our low first rouind pick from us in what is considered a weak draft

otherwise we may try an obtain an early 2nd round pick

Would definitely come in handy. With jason ball playing his last season next year, we only have Doyle as a ruckman. LRT doesnt really look like hes heading the ruckman direction. So definitely would be a good get.

CC is well aware that next year is the last year on his contract. He won't be looking for high draft picks. In fact i'll be very surprised if ours isn't used in a trade.

Our midfield looked very weak this year. Our KP stocks have never been better. So to take a wild stab, i'd imagine that freo will be looking for midfielders. Maybe Sydney can contribute in a 3 way trade that lands us Josh Carr.

What about Simmonds for Saddington - straight swap?

We can get Carr a different way, & Sadders would add some much needed versatility to Freo.

Bee Dee - you are the fool.

Saddington is a better player than all those players you listed, bar McPharlin (our chb or CHF) & Haddrill (our FB). Sadders doesn't play either of those possies. Thornton, Woods, Grover, Polak play there best footy in defence, and are basically one dimensional.

Saddington would give the Dockers a Mr Fix-It, we only have Pavlich, & he should start at CHF next season & stay there.

Crazy fool

:D

Don't see why we would need another big man, thought wa already had a few there already. However, it could be some insurance to get someone like Simmonds as cover for Ball who has a bung back and a few other ailments with his body.

Its unlikely saddington will go anywhere. If he does, he wont be happy.
Its unlikely that anyone would want saddington, considering that he is coming off a knee reconstruction

Only problem is I'm sure Jason Ball is the only guy from Perth, and he has no trade value whatsoever.

Daniel Hunt, recently delisted, was also from WA.

If only Scotty Stevens was still around....
