What if everyone sees colours differently? Like if everything that I see as pink you see as pink - but we see it differently. And everyone sees it differently. But everyone's always called it pink - so it's pink and has always been pink and always will be pink. But the colour that we see is actually different... If I saw it the way you saw it I might call it turquoise

Has science explored this possibility?

Planet Earth is blue and there's nothing I can do

Happy to move on.

The Earth: flat or not?

Someone asked what the point of asking such a question was.

The answer is that if the Earth was flat (which it's not), things like gravity, relativity and all sorts of other scientific theories on which everything else is based would be wrong.

But here's the thing - it was only idiots in the dark ages that thought the Earth was flat. The ancient Egyptians built the pyramids on the knowledge that the Earth was a sphere and rotated around the sun. In Isaiah, it talks about god dwelling above the circle/sphere of the Earth.

What they are really asking is 'Is what conventional wisdom tells us actually the truth?'...which is a fair enough question. It's just that they've chosen a really stupid hill to die on.

He liked to **** boys.

Can we move on please?

There is absolutely NO evidence that he liked to **** boys.

There is however, evidence that he liked boys to bend over and expose their anus while he wanked.

It's a completely different thing.

It's a bit like Lance Armstrong. Didn't want to believe it, but looking back it was obvious.

Obviously doping is not as bad as paedophilila.

Colour isn't actually 'colour' as we have come to know it, it's a frequency on the light spectrum.
Your perception of what 'pink' is, is only a figment of what your mind has made to represent that frequency.
Except for black and white. They are respectively 'absence of light' and 'all light'.

In other words, it matters not that my 'pink' may be perceived differently to your 'pink' because they are the same segment of the spectrum, so our respective experiences/perception both map with reality.

that's what I'm saying man - it blows my mind

To me this explains why there's those certain colours in the aquamarine kind of spectrum that some people swear are mostly blue and others swear are mostly green.

Seen part 2 yet? ;)

I haven't seen any of it. I don't need to.

The guy was an insanely wealthy freak who had a warped childhood of his own, that brought him to seek friendship and sexual 'play' from 9yo boys.

I have no doubt that in his mind, he did no wrong.

I also have no doubt that there were those who chose to muddy the waters by taking payments or plain old blackmailing him.

Both can be true.

It's still pretty clear, that even under the stricter definitions of a 'paedophile', he absolutely was one.

Well he knew he did wrong in the sense that he went to extraordinary lengths to cover his tracks, including telling the boys that they too would go to jail if anyone found out. But in the sense that he believed he was having consensual relationships, he was certainly doing no wrong in his mind.

There's a lot of that going around these days.

Rosicrucians teach that all matter is frequency.

Visible light exists between near infra-red and near ultra-violet. Once it goes past either on the electromagnetic spectrum, in turns into microwaves or ionising radiation.

So the reality is that all colour is our ability to perceive the frequency of movement, or oscillation, of a particular object that is mirroring that particular colour frequency. That's why the old CD players used a red laser to read discs, which has a lower oscillation, but a bluray player uses a blue laser which is higher up the spectrum and therefore has a higher oscillation and can therefore pack more data into the same area.

Black is an absorption of light, and white is a reflection of light. In other words, the darker a colour is, the more muted the frequency or wavelength of an object is, and the lighter it is, the more intense the wavelength is.

Your perception of colour is determined by your ability to comprehend the varying intensities of each wavelength.

To me this explains why there's those certain colours in the aquamarine kind of spectrum that some people swear are mostly blue and others swear are mostly green.

Compared to blue and green, turquoise/aquamarine/teal has a very short level of intensity. This is the chart for an LED light:

Whereas every other colour will gradually fade/increase from one to another, blue is very intense and green is the second most intense colour. That's why you'll get arguments about it.

If you want my esoteric take on it - people who are more in tune with their higher self at that moment will see it as being more blue whereas those who are more grounded will see it as being more green. In my opinion, most people who are feeling 'blue' or depressed are those that actually have a more accurate perception of the world at that moment - or rather, how far they are from what they actually should be doing - without the ability to process the information in a positive way.

Shower fapper update:

He is now undertaking Thursday night pottery wheel classes.

Hmm.

You thinking of being the Patrick Swayze to his Demi Moore? :p
