That I do agree with. There’s no point planning things, just be consistent with your nature at all times. Let go of the ego and grow self-esteem that accepts yourself and others for who you are and who they are, rather than trying to exert a measure of control on the present by planning for the future.

You just said you plan to be in Portland in October.

You exist only in a single, timeless, moment.
All you have ever been, or will ever be, does not, will not, exist.
The past is a false fantasy made of a one-dimensional memory.
The future is the fever dream of rampant ego imagination.
Existence is nothing.
Existence is futile.
We exist to win premierships.

- Fos Williams 1962

I also said if I’m not there I’ll be at Metallica :)

My plans are fluid and ever changing

I'm going more highbrow tonite, with perhaps Keanu Reeves's finest ever role as federal agent Johnny Utah, in Point Break.

And Anthony Kedis with a fine performance as 'Surf Nazi #3'

Point Break is a great movie. I rate it better than pop culture juggernaut Die Hard when it comes to movies of the genre and era.

It's a timeless classic.

Mid 80's I think Dennis Hopper, Crispin Glover (lol) & Keanu good film

Heaps of Slayer in the soundtrack all from the debut album.

So apparently set list from Metallica World Wired Tour is, unsurprisingly, predominantly songs from Hardwired... with just a handful of oldies

I reckon if you go to a Metallica show it show be 80% classics / 20% new, like Soundwave was, not the other way around

I reckon there'll be plenty of punters disappointed

Philosophically I’m more speaking from a Daoist perspective, as in the only thing we can participate in is in the now. The past and future still exist, there’s just not much need to worry about it.

ps sorry everyone else :drunk:

I still reckon there will be plenty (obviously Not Janus or edgie) that will come out from the concert going 'wow that was unbelievable' whilst thinking to themselves ' farrk just I paid $190 for a bunch of metal I've never even heard of'

They haven't written a decent song for 29 years.. I'd be pissed if I was stupid enough to go see them.
