I only use mine to defrost stuff occasionally who the **** would want to cook with them it turns food to hot slop.

Well not me, that's horrible, ovens are for cooking. I do have lots of Chinese leftovers in the fridge though from tea tonight and ain't no way I'm eating that cold over the next couple days.

Popcorn
Papadums
Green Beans
Carrots
Honey Milk for cereal (kids love it)
Quick Oats

The trick is using a lower power setting to get a more ‘natural’ cook.

Don’t ever cook meat in one though. Or eggs.

They could have brought in other writers to take over. It’s not like it was their original story anyway. It’s Martin’s, right?

Give someone else a year to prep for it (during S8) and off you go. This is a world where three best selling novels and subsequent film adaptions were written based on a Twilight fan fiction. I’m sure they could have found someone out their to write for one of the biggest shows of all time.

I’m telling you, it’s because Clarke was told what happens in S8 and she said “I’m not doing another two seasons if this happens this season. Just end it.”

See for yourself:

“Um, he just doesn’t like women does he?” Clarke quips. “He keeps f—king killing them. No. If I were to put myself in his shoes I’m not sure what else he could have done aside from … oh, I dunno, maybe having a discussion with me about it? Ask my opinion? Warn me? It’s like being in the middle of a phone call with your boyfriend and they just hang up and never call you again. ‘Oh, this great thing happened to me at work today —hello?’ And that was 9 years ago…”

i can't really wrap my head around why it's any of her business tbh, is she not an actress paid to say her lines? she sounds like a hysterical teenage girl here (i can't quite believe these quotes are even real though i know they are). the first line is just ridiculous new age feminist bullshit so we'll dismiss that, but what's she actually whining about, not being able to tell her character was destined to fail? feel like i'm missing something.

She’s probably put a lot of herself into the character, which is why I say it’s because of her that the series had to end so quickly. When someone gets so wrapped up in the character they are playing, the lines between where they end and the character begins get blurred.

That’s why she was able to give such a great performance. Every scene she did you were looking at Clarke’s natural reaction to what was happening. So when something happens that doesn’t sit with how she would have done it, it breaks the magic because now she’s not Dany, but Emila Clarke pretending to be Dany.

There’s no congruency between the two and the performance becomes stilted and awkward.

She’s got every right to be pissed because I don’t think she would have ever signed up for the show if she had known that was how she was going to go out.

We have a Thermomix which is far far better

Nah, it’s really not. My mother has a Thermomix.

They both do exactly the same thing because they cost exactly the same. The only difference is mine is red, so it goes faster :p

How do you know any of this without watching the show?

Happy World Turtle Day folks.

How do you know any of this without watching the show?

I did watch the majority of the first season. Then I said I wasn’t going to watch it anymore and just read about what happened occasionally because I did want to see what happened but I didn’t want to invest heaps of time into it.

So if it was only going to go for 7/8 seasons at the very start, you’d think they would be able to pace it better, right? I’m sure there was stuff that happened that didn’t need to happen to progress the story, or they could have made an extra episode here and there. That is, if they all knew what was going to happen in the end. Which tells me the writers and the cast weren’t told until they had to write the new material.

Martin wanted more seasons because he wanted to stretch out what happened in this season. The writers didn’t want to do Martin’s job for him - why is he producing shows when he’s supposed to be finishing the ****ing book series? Apparently all he gave them was three things that were going to happen.

Three things. Not an outline of what the story would be. Just three events.

I personally believe Martin is suffering from writers block and he was hoping the show would bail him out by giving him ideas that he could simply flesh out with narrative and internal monologue. He knows what he wants to do with the story in terms of the start and the finish, but it’s what happens in between that he can’t reconcile.

I’ve been through this in my writing. It sucks when you know what’s going to happen but you have no idea how to get there.

Grab a roll. Fill it with good shaved leg ham. Top with a tasty shredded cheese like Mainland Colby. Wrap tightly with a couple of layers of paper towel.
Put in your microwave and nuke it for about a minute .
YUM.....BO
No thanks I'll wait 5 minutes and use my toaster oven.
