Podcasting died 10 years ago, whenever Cum Town realized you can go zero effort and people will still listen regardless. and then all their friends followed suit. You guys wait until I get my podcast stats for the year

Wasn't there a study once that concluded that the bands/artists you loved from your teens to early 20's will always be your most loved regardless of how you want to appear as a hip old geezer into new music.I guess if you've built your entire identity around a handful of bands that you liked in your teens I guess new music would be quite confronting.
I used to like stuff like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth in my teens. Circle pits in Devildriver.I guess if you've built your entire identity around a handful of bands that you liked in your teens I guess new music would be quite confronting.

I could easily and it would be the same a the year before probablyPodcasting died 10 years ago, whenever Cum Town realized you can go zero effort and people will still listen regardless. and then all their friends followed suit.
I listen to some shows on and off, and I'm sure theres good stuff out there, but I wouldn't be able to do a top 5 for each year.
Maybe it's the Boomers who jump on bands like Greta Van Zeppelin & announce to all and sundry "These kids are bringing back real rock & they play instruments GEE GAW GAH" who sully the waters. They say that what you listened to at the age of 14 sets your music taste for most of your life.
Not necessarily that you stick with the same bands/songs, but that style of music is what you follow.
I did laugh at the hip old geezer comment but why is it that listening to new stuff viewed so negatively?
I'm not saying I completely agree, but I would say there's bands/artists that become base camp in your musical DNA.
edgie never leaves base camp perhaps
I wish I could quit you
Most of those memories usually revolve around teens getting laid, or some sort of event leading to it.Music is weird though a song you should hate in terms of what your taste is generally like can stick like shit to a blanket in your mind if it has a memory attached.
You wot mateI'm not here to force a post about me listening to a variety of music, that's ****ing lame. People talking about how they like a variety of styles. Pure cringe. People can believe what they want. I'm not here to shatter images people have in their heads either. If I feel like talking about something out the blue I will raise it, not because there's a few bad attempts at bait.
I was thinking more of Sailing transporting me back to sitting in granpa's car on a Sunday & I'll randomly start singing that fukcer at odd times. TAKES ME AWAY......Most of those memories usually revolve around teens getting laid, or some sort of event leading to it.

Ahh fellow BtB appreciator. Now that the conversation has followed it's predestined pathway to spotify sucks and podcasts are all shit (results skewed by Ozzy dying):
The only thing I got from grandpa's car was third degree burns from the vinyl and belt buckle.I was thinking more of Sailing transporting me back to sitting in granpa's car on a Sunday & I'll randomly start singing that fukcer at odd times. TAKES ME AWAY......
