Yeah one Aussie guy against a religious group that has been trying to take over the world since the 14th century.
Sounds about equal.
Tarrant was actually a "cultural Christian" so really the comparison is between two Aussie (sadly in both cases) guys who are parts of religious groups (or you could argue the same religious group in terms of being Abrahamic) that have been trying to take over the world for hundreds of years.

Anyway, the world has literally been taken over by billionaire oligarchs, religion is old news now. Those guys are the real enemy

We need to be more strict on who comes here from these sort of country’s.
Thats not racism that’s protecting the people who live here in peace.
I don’t give a fk if this radical prick was born here if they never let his fkd up father in this would have never happened.
Those long-term, born and bred Aussies who didn't stop the boats of the white European immigrants who brought their foreign values and generational conflict and hatred to these shores should've listened to your cautionary tale.

I'm not allowed to tell you that you can paste the url for the story into this site. It can be a bit hit and miss and take a while but can work.
Thanks for not telling me... I wont check it out.

I do know the Italians worked hard when they started coming here in the 60’-70’. They knew how to build houses properly in those days not like the shit you get now.
Also the Greeks and Eastern Europeans worked hard,as they are the ones that worked in the factories because that sort of work was considered the pits to your average Australian.
Working in a factory in Australia was considered worse than being unemployed in the 70’s.
Yes there has been trouble with something’s with there coming here but nothing like the crazy shit we now see unfolding on our doorsteps.

This has been building for sometime now with protesters on both sides throughout the city’s at a regular occurrence with some violent clashes.
Each side believes they’ve right and we as a nation is stuck between all of this.
What happened last week was inevitable, it was only a matter of time.
Things need to change now as there’s more guns in Australia now than before Port Arthur.
Hopefully the government will adopt more strick gun laws like what has been done in Western Australia.
It’s fking ridiculous that person living in a Sydney Suburb can legally own six guns.
We can’t as a nation just sit on our hands and say well maybe it won’t happen again if we say nothing and don’t upset anyone.

I’m from an Italian immigrant family and I know, and know of, quite a few that got on the invalid pension once they got sick of doing the hard work. Some relatively young.

I'm glad you agree that immigrants are a net benefit to a country with the pluses far outweighing the minuses.

It was, and still might be, a cliche. Accidents leading to bad backs and all that.

Every immigrant population had something thrown its way during there time.

We had issues with the Serbs/Croats in the 80s/90s in part due to various war crimes. My brother was once chased down the street by a man with a machete who thought he was Serbian.

The Vietnamese were accused of bringing in all the Heroin, etc

Our country would be poorer without their presence in our country though.

That came a bit more later in the 80’s when the old bad back compo claims started.
They started to come here after the war in the 50’s I don’t have any personal connection to them but the houses they built still stand today.
Compare that to the shit you see now that they bang out in no time with cheap shit materials.

In general I’d say that’s correct.
As a country the government needs to step in and do there job protecting its citizens.
They need to immediately tighten the gun laws as they have done in Western Australia.

Even if you forget the immigration side of it gun laws need to be tighter because there’s too many nutters out there running around.
It’s crazy someone can legally own six guns living in suburban Sydney.
The problems in the middle east are here to stay.
You know my views on it but the general consensus is that’s racist, but nobody has put forward anything at all as a counter measure.
You just can’t close your eyes and hope it doesn’t happen to you or one of your loved ones.
