The Lions had more than enough picks to match him if they wanted him, so why would they bother sending a staff member to his draft party and then not match? That seems odd.

Last night you could see why they pucjked him. Hands and awareness in traffic. Like Macarthy, it's going to be a wait on physical development to know what we've got.

It’s not about difficulty to match, it’s about Brisbane matching prindable and then forgoing the chance to draft someone with their next pick who they may rate 10-20 spots higher than him.

It’s about sticking to their draft ranking and there was obviously a discrepancy with how we rated him on our board vs where you rated him on yours.

You took someone at 38, 43 and 44. It would have wiped out that 38 pick I assume. You can be pretty confident that you rated at least one of them higher. Who knows if it is 1,2 or all 3 of them that you rated higher.

He still walks and jogs around
There isn’t a sense of urgency or quickness in his game …and if he isn’t at a Pendlebury level to play in such a manner—-then I don’t see him being a player Fly will select.

Foot skills look fine. There's been heaps of inside mids with those physical attributes. We just retired one with a Brownlow medal in his cupboard. Here's him on his draft night:

I think yesterday he started to show what he can do.
15 disposals, 2 marks, 6 tackles, a goal and 2 goal assists that I saw.
In his 5 games with us he's laid 27 tackles.
It's great that his kicks don't take forever to come down.
I'm glad we have him.

However he was much improved today.

He was a lot more composed today.
