Saw he was in the best players in the VFL the past 2 or 3 weeks, reckon there is a chance he might get a game sometime soon? I know i really like this kid and alot of people on this forum feel the same, but who could he possibly replace? First thoughts for me would be Toovey but hes performing well and is Malthouses love child :P.

I agree he is also a favourite of mine. But at the moment I can't see a spot in there for him whilst we are playing good footy. Unless they drop Brown or Reid but both are playing reasonable footy. Setanta did kick 5 yesterday so you never know.

But theres also someone called Presti not playing aswell, you would have to assume he would get a place before him :(

Goldsack in - N Brown out -

As much as I like Browny he was a touch fumbly on sat - The Sack is usually clean with his disposal.Thats my 2 cents!!

Goldsack coming in because someone had the fumbles is a tad rich, Goldsack is certainly a serial fumbler. Goldsack showed his most promising signs towards the end of last season playing some solid 1 on 1 defensive games the problem is very much that he doesn't have a role in the senior side that isn't already filled.

Goldsack's form on small fowards has been extremely poor to date. Regardless Toovey is extremely good in this sense.

Goldsack has shown pretty decent signs as a loose defender / zoning off defender to kill the contest but has also been hurt due to not getting back to cover his man. Maxwell has this role on lock down regardless.

The closest player to Goldsack in our current line up is Harry. Medium sized defender with the pace to play on small and the reach to play on talls. Harry owns this possie. He is much cleaner with his hands, uses the ball better, better defensively on talls and smalls. Up until this year he hasn't been hurt the other way as often as the Sack either although that has changed a little this year.

Reid and Brown are both being groomed as more key type defenders. That said at the moment Reid hasn't shown enough in this regard to be treated that way. That said he is a better user of the ball on the rebound and has more versatility in regards to being able to be matched up on key fowards.

I see it being pretty tough on the Sack to get back into the line up and much harder for him to hold down a spot long term.

He's back in form and back to the Goldsack of old.
He'll have to get a game soon his hardness and athleticism sticks out like dogs balls (Hi Dave) at VFL level.
He has to be our quickest player with ball in hand , he is just lightning. Someone like Jaxson Barham doesn't look to get anywhere near the momentum Goldy gets in comparison.

Poor bastard. I'm a big fan of the Sack of Gold, but its going to be tough to get in there. Maybe taking the spot of Presti / Rambo.

I want Goldy in too. Reid is only 2 centimetres taller ....

I really think People forget what a great tackler Goldy is. IMO probably in the best 5 of our club. Harry, Maxy, Daisy, Clokey and Goldy.

Have you watched Luke Ball. The best in the league, he just doesn't miss tackles.
