so I don't watch much of the footy media. Has this been raised by any media commentators? High hopes I know... but surely the 720 team on sunday morning had something to say?

"There is one difficulty for an umpire; and that is if a person ducks or drives forward and the person tackling comes rushing in, then the tendency is still to pay the free kick to the person who gets high contact.
"It's difficult to adjudicate but we're trying to discourage that."
Nothing in print media today about the lopsided free kick count in Saturday nights game. Maybe we are wrong. Maybe the kicks were there and we are being to parochial.
Why are so many neutrals echoing our frustrations ??????
On 882 this morning they ripped into it (don't remember who it was), about 9.30am could of been Adshead and somebody else.
They were utterly ruthless and argued it's cost us Top 2 and potentially a GF.

Pannell again from memory.I'm sure which quarter it was (and I'm not sure if I can even explain this right) does anyone remember Ballantyne getting pinged for bumping the player off and gunning for the ball?
He does it just about every game (because of height restrictions), a Freo player will bomb it down the corridor and for him to beat his man, he bumps them side on, he chases the ball and typically goals it. It's a legal bump but this time he was pinged the second he tried it.
Just shows that the normal way we go about our game was sabotaged and mutilated by the Umps.
I think it was the 2nd quarter where he clearly leant is fore-arm in and was pinged for hands in the back (which was incorrect).I'm sure which quarter it was (and I'm not sure if I can even explain this right) does anyone remember Ballantyne getting pinged for bumping the player off and gunning for the ball?

I cried myself to sleep last night because you banned me. I managed to fill up these 3 cups and when they were full I did not fret as I knew there will soon be a 4th to fill

Wow you really are a dumbarse .You obviously went to bed last night and woke up with a solution on your chest.
The sad thing for your football club is that the injuries are only going to increase. One of your ex players has broken his neck. Is that because he played the Geelong way, ducking his head to try and get a free kick? Bartel, Mackie, Johnson and Selwood are all likely to suffer serious damage as a result of their cheating behaviour. I just hope it isn't in a game against Fremantle, because you mongrels will blame the opposition, not the ducking player.

For Geelong players, it seems a bump in the back or in the side is a free, in front would also be a free, so they are unbumpable.I noticed it right away as Ballantyne does it all the time and never gets pinged for it, but of course, Geelong....

LOL coming from someone who went more than 40 years inbetween flags and took 66 years to win their first. You'd shit your pants if you had to play us in a GF. Rightly so, too, might I add.Coming from the only expansion club (bar GC & GWS) not to win a premiership that is laughable
