Only one thing to say.
Why are the Umpires not full time professionals? It seems like the most backward thing possible. What other professional sport has Semi-Pro Officials. Can anyone think of one?
Difference is, we get up and keep playing and keep winning. We don't whinge non stop year after year.

Luke Farmer (umpire #4 who was on last night) is a teacher at my school, I might just have a quiet word to him tomorrow about what the **** happened.
Frees for this season
St Kilda +11
Collingwood -7
And if we had kicked straight you wouldn't have got close.

He's the video for reference, clearly the Collingwood supporters saying it was a free kick are biased flogs
Noticed the end of the link for this youtube is "D0dghY".
Even youtube agrees.

haha nice pickup!!AFL Umpiring Department admits that they got the Harry O decision wrong.
armitage fumbled the ball anyway when the ball spilled from obrien, whos to say he would of got the EQUALLING GOAL?
yeh, and what if [said player] had of missed. fact is there were plenty of frees missed [kosi hit to the head of wellingham was a clear example of that], the first goal you got for a deliberate out of bounds when shaw was contacted as he kicked the ball.1) Whistle had already gone.
2) What this means is said players tend to lose focus as a free kick has been paid, hence the fumble.
3) We had a player inside the goal square and 5v2 numbers advantage within 25m with Daisy as the only forward player of Armo between he and the free player in the square 2m out.
So if Armitage had not of kicked it, said player would have as Daisy would have had to either come at Armo or cover the player in the square and was stuck in no mans land as he was going towards the contest at the side of the contest away from Armo instead of towards the contest from Armos side. Hence why Goddard handballed away from the corridor to Armo, as Daisy was in the corridor.
But we'll never know because you got an incorrect free that affected the result of the match.
i agree , umps should wear ear muffs during the game.St Kilda had a large number of free kicks that were not paid. Collingwood had a large number of free kicks that were paid.
The difference was the crowd. In a tense situation the crowd's voice is raised and the excitement is palpable. The umpires are not immune to the influence of the crowd - especially the lesser experienced ones. The 9 - 2 free kick count in the last quarter reflects the effect of the crowd more than the actual infringement of the rules. There were a few free kicks missed for Collingwood in that frenetic last quarter, but there were many more free kicks missed for the Saints. The crowd influenced the result of the match. I suppose the Collingwood supporters can be proud of themselves for that. In Adelaide they call this influence the nineteenth man and they are unrepentent in accepting the benefit of this influence.
The problem is that the popular clubs benefit at the expense of those clubs without the same supporter base. In a close match the club that wins doesn't have the better team, it has the louder crowd. The popular clubs already have so much financial advantage over the lesser popular clubs that the level playing ground myth is just that - a myth.
The AFL should review the decisions made in the St Kilda - Collingwood match with the sound turned off and assess where free kicks should have been paid. Then sit the umpires down with the sound at epic volumes and tell them to reassess each decision given the live game like conditions. Teach them to mentally take the crowd out of the equation.
The majority of supporters of AFL clubs do not support the four big clubs. The majority of AFL supporters see a need to change the system to a fair one. Collingwood, Adelaide, West Coast and maybe Essendon are beneficiaries of an unfair system. Let's make it better.

You'll notice I responded to your post, thus the focus on the last contest had already been established by others which included yourself and not myself. But do not let facts ruin your dire stupidity nor need to be right in everything you do or say and instead use it as an impetus to provide better argumentative stances in the future when you visit our board.
Contact between St Kilda's Justin Koschitzke and Collingwood's Ben Reid from the second quarter of Saturday's match was assessed. The ball is kicked into the St Kilda forward line. Reid is coming back with the flight in an attempt to mark while Koschitzke is leading forward to the ball, ahead of his opponent Nathan Brown. The panel said that Koschitzke had his arm held by opponent and braces for inevitable contact, as he was unable to contest the mark. It was the view of the panel the high contact was caused by circumstances outside the control of player Koschitzke. No further action was taken.
