Autopsy Umpiring 😳 (autopsy vs Lions)

Just like there was no conspiracy to prevent Fitzroy merging with us, and ensure they went to Brisbane?

Just like there was no conspiracy to get us to the Gold Coast so they'd have a finals ready senior list from the get go?

there was no secret to those moves, a conspiracy has to be something a bit more clandestine than the afl saying "we want north to move to the gold coast"

All the Lions f ucktards want to talk about is the Brown free kick.

These simpletons are living in lalaland if they can’t accept they were gifted every conceivable advantage in the 3rd to make the result theirs.

Fisher just finished the job in the last because we didn’t play to the script and kept in the contest.
CORRECT!

So if it isn’t the AFL then we have a panel of umpires that have bias against certain clubs?

Which one is it? Either way there is something that stinks in this game.
FFS. We have a better percentage of frees for than AFL love childs Brisbane, Sydney and GWS.

Get over yourself. The umps stuffed up last night. That’s it. Nothing more. It happens sometimes.

It is time the Afl followed the Nrl and have the bunker where all tries are reviewed to see if knock on offside etc occured .This woeful decision would have been overturned and mark rewarded. Was at game and saw it on big screen and was obvious no free kick. The Brown free wouldn't be reviewed as didn.t occur in scoring zone so no comparison really

Seriously, you want every ref decision reviewed. Yeah that makes sense.

Can you explain how every bewildering and shocking decision went to the advantage of one side only?

Don’t use the Brown one as an example, because that is a free kick. You cant block an opposing ruckman from competing for the tap.

Brisbane home games would have to be the source of some of the worst decisions i've ever seen paid against us.

Anyone remember the Wells "throw" for example....

How about the Black volleyball throw even the Brions players stopped and laughed and ran back into defence.
Umpire ? " PLAY ON, PLAY ON " ! ! !

Correct. You may disagree with the rule but the free-kick was there as it stands. If you look at the free Brown was denied for being blocked from a marking contest 35 out on a slight angle, the one that was given incorrectly against Thompson and even the last goal of the game where a North player was clearly held without the ball as it went forward, the umpires have had as big an impact on the result of this game as any I've seen. That is not even looking at the third quarter where it felt like the umps were determined to shift momentum the Lion's way.

I haven't got enough time to read to read through all the posts, but didn't watch the game live, recorded it and watched it today (all except the last 2 minutes), i then had the opportunity to rewind several pieces of play many times to assess decisions. For mine, the umpiring didn't start to hit a low until the last 8 minutes or so of the third and didn't cost us on the scoreboard.
However i've seen THE decision against Thomo on the news and wow, what a howler. Out of all the crook decisions, there was one that wasn't paid, with 18 minutes remaining in the last quarter, Adams drops a mark at the top of the square, he then reaches out full arm and drags the ball back in and is wrapped up by JZ, no free, not even a grumble from the commentary team, has anyone mentioned this one? It would have been a certain goal to start the last quarter.
Having said all that, 2 shit handballs from Tarrant and Larkey, 2 pathetic weak uncontested dropped marks from Polac and McMillan, when opposition kicks 12 goals and you gift wrap them 4.....well, i suppose it was all the umpires fault.

Yep, thought same on Adams one. Appeared very close to dragging it in

Despite still feeling disappointed today by the result and the garbage umpiring, I still managed to crack a smile thinking about Cunners 50m pass the wrong way to Thompson..... 100% he had no clue he was going the wrong way...

Thankgod he did it

I did it in Under 12’s Footy and have been waiting for 40 years to say ‘see a North player even does it’

Agree, KT. It doesn’t make it one ounce more palatable, though.

Correct. Luke Darcy might not agree with the free, but he is wrong.

If Brown and O were standing body to body competing for the ball it would have been fine to put the arm in the chest.

However because they never initiated contact and Brown was on the move, running and jumping for the ball when O pushed him to the chest, it meant it was a clear block.

They have been paying it that way all year.
Another comparison, he actually impacted brown front on in the neck, jz did that in a fend off and it was deemed high contact so going of that block withstanding it was high contact on brown anyway.
