There was a classic of this, in the St Kilda game, I think it was, where Brown made a beautiful pass to Martin, who was scragged to the ground after completing the mark and, of course, no fifty because he’s wearing a Richmond jumper
 
My quarter by quarter count for WC vs Rich based on the AFL website was as follows:

Q1: 3 - 2
Q2: 5 - 2
Q3: 5 - 1
Q4: 7 - 6

Total 20 - 11

What really pissed me off was in the second quarter when we were trying to stem the tide, twice Koschitzke was on the lead and got completely scragged and there was no free kick (again it's the missed ones that hurt). One of the commentators - probably Schofield - mentioned that Kozzy was looking for the free. No, no he ****in wasn't. He was on the lead trying to mark the ball and got dragged down/arm chopped. If he was looking for the free then he wouldn't have tried to take the mark. He would've done a Curnow and thrown his arms out appealing to the ump. It's really basic shit and commentators and umps have to be better.

5 times they said we should have got a FK or paid a mark. And it wasn't just a "oh could've been a free to the tiges there..." it was the genuine one where all 3 callers admitted we got stiffed.

Was that Triple M? If so I heard the same commentary. It was actually very refreshing.

This happens fairly regularly, where after half time, we tend to get more frees than before half time.

Umps probably go in the dressing rooms and are like 'we better start evening it out now'.

Such a rigged comp.

The non paid ones are the bigger numbers.
That's where they rort us.
 
And the CFL making rules for the umpires to exploit us even more
Remember the 8 50s we copped against Carlton,the stand rule.
It goes on and on the corruption of this league even when we won the flags.
 
whilst I am really angry about the umps and this is one of my favourite threads, I feel like this thread needs some inside knowledge or intel. Does anyone know any umps or anyone at CFL house? Have they given you a “knowing wink” when you’ve raised this with them? Or said something like “that is all in the hidden vault at head office”? We really need to escalate this thread to have some legitimacy other than a bunch of tiger nuts!!

I always thought BF was just a bunch of nuts, and the tigers are on the Richmond BF board.

But yes, it all seems too much to be accidental. And I'd love to know what is going on.

100% free kick but how is Yeo not reported for that?
 
Didn't take us too deep into the season to sink to bottom of the corruption(free kick) differential.

But get this. The person formerly employed overseeing the umps department, Brad Scott, coaches Essendon. They sit at the top of the free kick differential. An absolutely eye-watering 11 free kicks per game better off than us on average. To get some perspective on that...we can all see what happened in the Eagles game and how much better they did from the umpiring than us. Well Essendon AVERAGE a bigger differential than that over us in every match.

Put it this way, it's probably because Baker is tough and a Tiger and he bounced straight up.

same thing happens to Ginnivan or a Nick Daicos and they hit the ground squealing and writhing in agony......instant free kick and maybe even a 50, then the AFL look at it and a fine or a week on top of it as well.

It is just a straight out reportable offence. Forceful contact by a raised arm to the head of a player with his arms pinned.
