Both games this week have been decided by free kicks. This issue isn't limited to Richmond. Pressure on the AFL needs to increase. Game is being poorly managed.

In fairness Collingwood were still 19 points up when that free kick was paid (technically correctly).

Using language normally attributed to us in the footy media, "they only have themselves to blame" (how many friggin times have you heard that!) for coughing up three more scoring shots in the following few minutes, all from after the footy was returned to the centre for a bounce.

You give the player with the ball the advantage. Tackled, spin round five times, taken to the ground, get back up, have a coffee, fake a handball, have chat then dispose of the ball.

Unless of course they get tackled and pinged in 0.000046834 seconds. Then that's OK as well, just more rare.

Fairly straightforward isn't it really. Everyone knows what is going on. Someone has the ball, gets tackled and may or may not get a free kick no matter the circumstance. Easy stuff.

This attitude doesn't change the bias. If your attitude towards the problem changes if Richmond was on top of the free kick differential ladder rather than on the bottom, then you are part of the problem.
