Why would they need the signal to be encrypted, if they are only giving positive affirmation to the umpires between goals, as is claimed? What's so sensitive about that, that they feel the need to encrypted the signal?

And if the answer is its encrypted for the integrity of the game, that's gas lighting.

The two sources indicated that the words used were: “f---ing c---.” What was said is not being disputed, it’s whether the language was directed at anyone that is being investigated, and that is very much in doubt.

There is a simple fix to all of this, make the audio accessible during the game, I'm sure they could make an app or something that you could use to listen in to the umpires in game communication.
There should be no issue doing this if there is nothing to hide.
