i have seen some horrible umpiring of hawk games , question to you lot is it recking the game , i think it is specially seeing the umpiring we copped on friday night!:mad:

Goldsoink cost us the 2001 prelim final by his shocking decisions. He should not be allowed to umpire Hawthorn games (or maybe any AFL matches!).

I'll agree you guys had a bad run with the umps on Friday night. Good luck for the rest of the year anyway! I dont mind the Hawks :thumbsu:
 
Goldspank obviously holds a deep seated hatred for us after that well deserved death threat after the 2001 prelim. There's just so many shockers since then from that prick to be considered just another ordinary decision against us. I don't blame Brown or Everit for their actions last night,it's just so disheartening getting screwed over and over again by that f:mad: :mad: :mad: wit ! If anyone knows where it lives,post it up...i've got a couple of spare bricks ready to go. This HAS to stop!!!
 
before anyone accuses us of thinking it, Goldspink was not the reason we lost on friday night.

However.
What he did to that game was make it excuciatingly hard to watch as he picked soft free kicks and constantly imposed himself on the game as the draw card that he thought people came to watch.
The other two umpires were almost unsighted as goldspink spent every ounce of energy on getting invlolved in the play and calling 50/50 free kicks....and most notably all against the hawks.
I watched the game with two Melbourne supporters and even they were in disbelief at his obvious hatred for our team and in particular, campbell brown.
I hope the club bring this up with adrian anderson as fridays nights umpiring by goldspink was nigh on farcial.
 
will agree with it all he was DISGRACEFUL Hirdy was dead right in what he said !

yes i know we made errors but i reckon they got worse cause of it being against us and that made them frustrated it made me mad and you may have seen me on tv going off , not the one at end of half time as i was calling out bring on the game but the one at the end i was saying what i thought of the umpiring !
 
Umpires are there to objectively and impartially adjudicate the game. How an umpire can be seen consistently taunting and winding up a player (brown) and show such bias against one team and its players is a farce and goes against everything the umpires represent and are there for. I will be surprised if something is at least not explained by the AFL of goldspinks actions on friday night.
If the AFL is serious of getting rid of the culture of 'umpire bashing' it should start be getting rid of such f wits as goldspink who try to impose themselves on the game and certain teams/players. An umpire is not there to try and challenge or 'beat' certain players by showing his 'power' to give frees, it is not a competition between player and umpire. While we continue to have umpires who beleive they are more important than the game and teams they are meant to be officiating people will not respect them.

It is interesting to note that nothing has been said about the other two umpires... why? because although they made the odd errror they were generally consistent to both sides. Like they should be.
 
agree 100% i think the way goldstink umpired the game and if he continues to do it the same way he is wrecking the game , if they don't like the fans abusing the umps then they should look at this game and see why umps get abused !

I haven't spoken to a single football follower who doesn't think goldspink was deplorable on friday night.
And goin from the threads on the bigfooty mainboards and here it's the common opinion we got a very rough go of it.

Incidentally, can anyone tell me the other two umpires? No?
thought so, just the way it should be.

He lives near my house in Scoresby!!!! My mate lives in the same court as him!
I have been very tempted to trash his house, especially when i think of our 2001 prelim final against Essendon. Most hated umpire within the Hawthorn fans!:mad:
