They guy playing benjamin veneman is spot on too from what I remember.

The show isn't going as strongly as the openinig couple of episiodes for me but still so much better than just about every other australian made drama.

Most of my fav shows like six feet under and sopranos have some graphic sex scenes in them but they fit in with the story line. Underbelly just seems to have sex scenes for the sake of it. Like the cop banging his girlfriend in the shower. What was the point of that scene. We only got to see his arse so there was no point if you ask me.

That had me wondering for ages too... It's someone whose identity had to be protected for legal reasons, can't remember the guys name. The other one with a protected identity (the running man) is Vitcor Brincat

HITMAN Andrew Veniamin's first gun jammed before he grabbed a second one to execute notorious armed robber Victor Peirce in Port Melbourne, a court has heard.

An underworld informer, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said Veniamin — himself later shot dead in the underworld war — detailed the killing on a visit to his inner-city apartment the day after Peirce's murder in Bay Street on May 1, 2002.


"You wouldn't believe what happened," the informer recalled Veniamin telling him, adding that he would "never use an automatic again" after the gun mishap.

Veniamin threw the first gun aside and smashed Peirce's car window with his elbow before opening fire with another firearm, the informer told the court.

He said Faruk Orman was the driver of the two-man hit team and attended the debriefing with Veniamin but didn't say much because he was a quiet person.

Orman, with whom he developed a friendship after Veniamin was jailed, later told him he'd driven off from the murder scene "nice and easy" to avoid attracting attention, he said.

The informer, a drug dealer, has confessed involvement in two gangland murders.

Orman, 26, of Sunshine, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court yesterday for a committal hearing charged with Peirce's murder.

Peirce was one of four men acquitted of the ambush murders of two young police constables in Walsh Street, South Yarra, in 1998.

Although not a secret, at the end of EP10 it comes up on the screen the names have been changed by "Order of the Supreme Court of Victoria"
