Well their was alot of discussion about the need for unique players if you want to do well or win this enitre competition. People were stating you need to be different to others if you want to win or do well. I was entirely against the idea of unique players or a unique team. So i just picked who i thought would have a good season and i have ended up with some fairly unique players.

Gianciracusa (only 3.18% in teams)
Goodwin (7.35% in teams)
Didak (9% in teams)
Macintosh (9.99% in teams)
Dalzeill (4.29% in teams)

So without trying to pick any unique players even though i thought Goodwin was my unique i have ended up with some uniquish picks.

What players also became fairly unique by this i mean under 10% of in teams. There are 216 000+ teams already.

So im very pleased with my side considering alot of my uniques are premiums/keepers.

Unique-ness is a very overrated stat at times.

Though for what its worth I have Bernie Vince in my side, so the cool 131 he scored on the weekend was only scored by around 1.5% of the teams :thumbsu:

Just checking through the popular players, Kreuzer has over 40,000 selections! Wasnt expecting that.

My uniques (under 10k selections) are Gia, McMahon, Waite and Dalziell. Simmonds and SJ both have under 15k selections too.

i was really suprised by the lack of selections of giansiracusa. 3.18%. he really had a breakout year last year and with a few of the bulldogs players getting older he is only going to get more of the ball. however if these percentages were done just in bigfooty teams they would be substatially different. gi would defs be in about 15-20 % of teams.

Matthew Boyd:

Total # of selections: 2,207 Owned by: 1.02%

Michael Firrito:

Total # of selections: 11,769 Owned by: 5.44%

lolwut?

Mine under 5%....

Geary (2.65%)
Otten (3.72%)
Gilmore (1.07%) :o that is embarrassing...my worst pick by an absolute mile, the proof going for a long shot very rarely works.

also my unique player brent staton only has 2767 selections (1.28%).

really hoping he can go close to averging 100 this year. he has started really well.

Newman - 4.34
Dempsey - 4.03
Reilly - 2.23
Butler - 2.47

Otten - 3.72
Giansiracusa - 3.18

Enright, Malceski, Swan, Cornes and N Brown all under 10%.

Italics are the ones who were crap on the weekend. Makes sense as to why my ranking's so terrible.

None of those players are unique.

They are pretty common in most competent DTers teams. Check out the squads thread.

The reason the percentages are low is because there are a hell of a lot of people who don't know much and just choose players they know; Buddy, Judd, Ablett etc etc etc.

Out of the more elite Dreamteamers, no they're not.
But in the overall competition they are unique.
We dont just disregard 200,000 teams

They are unique to DT, which I'm pretty certain that is what everyone is talking about.

Yep, only 22 thousand people have McIntosh, Swan, Didak, Cornes etc etc

Real unique picks.
At this rate, the only non-unique players will be Ablett and Franklin.
