Not the brightest spark is our Chris.

If we were only offered "like for like" then the following are Untouchable:

Rutten
Talia
Laird
Brown
Sloane
B Smith
Danger
Tex
Jacobs
Crouch
Grigg
Douglas
S Thompson
Lynch
Johnston
Siggins
Atkins
Hartigan
Ellis-Yolmen - Surprised he hasn't managed a game this year
Henderson

And possibly Lyons and Kerridge provided they're not homesick.

It's open season on the rest.

Ridiculous list.

Seriously, if we are fair dinkum and a ruthless success driven club, other than Danger/Tex/Sloane/Crouch I would entertain any possible trade scenarios for everyone else. That's it. Just 4 players untouchable.
Exactly, everyone bar Dangerfield, Crouch, Sloane, and Walker is tradeable, lots of others would say Talia is as well, but if a team offered massive overs for him then I think we could cover his loss.

He's an idiot. There's half a dozen players on that list that are past their best that have either been dropped or should have been. Untouchable are the first few players picked that are in their prime or best is still in front of them. They may have an off game, but it's never sustained for weeks and their worst is generally still better than about a 3rd of the team on any given day.

He's never gotten over being cut.

These are the guys I would have as my Untouchables:

and we could possibly get away with this

Our first captain is an interesting beast. I remember him backing back into Dunstall in our first ever final in 93 when he was playing on a half back flank (really if hawthorn weren't as long in the tooth as he was, he shouldn't of been playing)

Point being he wasn't afraid to do whats dirty and painful. He does have our best interests at heart and is only offering an opinion we all here offer about the club. More than often than not the guy is on the money.

Unless we kind find another ruckman, Graham is list security. Apart from believing Tambling and callinan are in Johncocks bracket, I can't argue with what he says. I would like to see a write up on each one

I wouldn't touch Angus Graham with a ten foot pole so I understand where Bone is coming from!

What a list. So practically every player in untouchable.

And this is posted in the Advertiser i'd imagine... what a waste of a tree.

Bone must have just awoken from
a coma where he dreamed we were a three time premiership outfit.

That would justify the Dirk Diggler length of the untouchable list.

How much is the Sunday Mail these days? About $2? Still overpriced.

You also have to include some of the young players in the "would not trade category".

It is the height of stupidity to trade away too much emerging talent that has developed under your system that are showing promise. Especially in areas where we are short. I'd keep these players:

Brown, Laird
Grigg, Crouch
Jenkins, Lynch (Kerridge I could be talked into)

Ok Lynch and Jenkins are not young, but they are emerging talent and are unique in our team in terms of what they bring. Lynch seems to me to run hard both ways, that is an attribute we want more of not less.

I'm not saying don't ever trade them, but while we are building it just seems silly to trade out emerging talent that could develop in to the core of a strong list over the next 4 years.

And no comparisons to Soccer Clubs selling off players please. They get huge transfer fees that can be used to scour the world for talent to replace the player. The talent pool for soccer is almost infinite when compared to AFL.
