Great post
I walked to highbury last June and went in the same little garden entrance
Took some pictures
Ticked off my life time things to do
Walked around the Emirates
They were setting up for a Robbie Williams concert
Security couldn't get me in
Went to the pub up the road
Tollington ??
Had a couple
Great day

Sounds fantastic. Tollington I’m told is still an institution. Supposedly have to get there very early on a matchday if you want to have a chance.

Highbury east stand facade that they retained is such a lovely sight, very picturesque and nice to reminisce about. Draws plenty of people daily, I went there a couple of times and quite a decent amount of people each time. Probably does the head in for the locals who live down that street.

Great read mate. What a privilege to get to soak all this in and with your family too. Incredible experience for them all but especially for yourself. Stoked for you to be able to see this current iteration of the side and at its peak.

Much appreciated mate. You’re bang on. It’s absolutely a privilege. So lucky to get to those two games. Atlético Madrid was just something else. And to sneak in today at west ham and see a hatrick of Arsenal wins this week, ****ing hell what a beautiful icing on a delicious cake.

3 wins needed to achieve the greatest season in Arsenal history potentially.

****ing hell that was ****ing amazing

I sat there on my best behaviour. Glen barely said a word. Or reacted. I did nothing but be the good little tourist bloke with my cutesy smile and golf clapping for either team.

But when we scored. And Trossard was serenaded by the home fans just below me. I ****ing lost it inside.

Get the **** in!!! 3 ****ing huge points!!!

How did you survive the VAR check from enemy territory, because my heart rate hit about 160 and I was just sitting in bed 😂

I was so attuned at this point to not reacting to anything that I was quite numb to everything going on around me, I could clearly see the ball had crossed the line so I knew the ref would point to his watch and give it.

Also though it was such a scrap in the box and I could clearly see 2 west ham players in the build up essentially pointing to each other which one is going to stand in front of Raya to impede him. Their goalkeeper too was in such close vicinity to Raya which I find odd, because even though we know all kinds of shit goes on in the box, the keeper is still sacrosanct, you can’t touch him as it’s always going to be a foul. I saw clearly that Raya had been fouled.

But even though I say motionless whilst west ham celebrated, my rate started rapidly increasing when I saw the ref stay on that side. Instead of going back to the middle of the pitch to restart, he actually stayed there listening to Odegaard, Raya etc. I thought hmm, maybe this will be a review.

Heart rate would have had me off the charts by this point. But still didn’t react. I must say though, when the ref was called to the monitor, I saw Gabriel do this little leap punch into the air thing, and I kinda did the same. By this point zero ****s given, it’s 96 minutes in, everyone is standing up still anyway around me, how they gonna kick me out at this point.

And when finally the reversal was made, the away fans roar was ****ing epic, and yeah I kinda let out a little noise that it would best be described as one part little girl squeal, one part older man relief groan, and one part what the **** is this club doing to me wheezing noise.

I don’t know why people are complaining it wasn’t a foul.View attachment 2607877
I guarantee you, if you swap the shirts, and we were the ones getting a goal disallowed, the discourse would be very, very different.

Everyone knows its a blatant foul.

Correct decision to overturn that goal. Clear and blatant.

I think the Arsenal fans need to come together with a class action and sue the club and Arteta, for undue stress and aging.

Can someone please explain what has happened to Zubimendi?

He looked like the signing of the season after a few months, but now he is a shell of himself.
Spanish league is like taking a siesta. Prem ? Different story, it’s relentless.
I feel that he still has one or two “moments “ left in him this season.

He was abysmal this morning, playing with no urgency and passed it sideways even when Eze was in space ahead of him.

Luckily MLS is looking good in the midfield with Rice behind him. I think Zubimendi comes on to ice games, if we are in a position to ice them.

The more baffling thing is the usage of a fairly capable norgaard, been fit all season and hardly played, like what was the point of his transfer?
This is the strangest to me. Maybe we were desperate to get some backup at the time so just took what we could get. Think he would have been great to bring on regularly final 15 minutes or so to sure up defensively.

That’s crazy. I could hear the commotion and the security guards but too far away to see exactly what had happened. Given it happened just after the goal I assumed it was an Arsenal fan celebrating.

Couple of blokes in front of said something like “yeah **** off we don’t want no ****ing Gooners ere!!”

Meanwhile, just behind them.

What a game. That Raya save could be title winning. Has to be the most important save I've seen from an Arsenal keeper. I reckon he's been our player of the season.
Didn't like Arteta bringing Zubi on but gotta give him credit for realising his mistake and pulling him. The difference has been night and day with Zubi on and off the pitch lately. We just don't look dangerous at all when he plays.
Trossard was so good. He was everywhere, there was one moment he even ran across the whole pitch to help out at RB early in the game.
And Odegaards little cameo and assist was a good reminder of what he can do.

Fair call on Raya, he’s clearly the best in the world. I just have to mention John Luckic, Alex Manniger, David Seaman, Jens. (Invincible)
I know I’m a bit older TB, but respect the older boys. What Manniger did when Seaman went down injured, for a young fella, to fill in , outstanding.
Please mate , this is not me having a go, it’s just me showing my age !! Did I mention Pat Jennings 😀 !!!
