I know this isn't the right section but I want to share it will all the blue supporters.

My boys Burnley tonight knocked out Chelsea, in Chelsea, with Chelsea having fielded an almost full strength team.
It made me so proud to support a lower league team, instead of the generic 4, as it shows that it's not just a large cheque book that can buy success, we earned with pride and passion.
Though I would have won a large amount of money of the win, as they were paying $17 to win! But, my room mate who has the betfair account put the bet under the wrong section. Oh well the win is worth more than $$$ to me.

It also reminded me of the love i have for the blues!

Come on 2009! Blues need to lift like Burnley did and just like Burnley I know CFC can!

Yeh mate, the difference is we are playing in the Premier League.

So I couldn't care less if you beat Chelsea and Chelsea prob couldn't care less either. Would rather focus on winning the league I would think.

Send me a postcard from the Championship buddy.

Who did what now:confused:

Great to see Chelsea get knocked over by a lower team. BF4 so what if it's the league cup, a win over Chelsea at the Bridge is pretty good regardless.

Any REAL fan wants their team to win every game.

So YOU are not a REAL fan.

Pretentious pretend premier poser.

Yeah and the league leaders couldn't beat a championship club!

As for Chelsea not caring that is the dumbest thing ever.

Oh and we don't buy our success.

Please explain?

Why did Chelsea bother to field close to a full strength team if they didn't care. God bless the Gunners and Arsene for being upfront about giving youth a go but still aiming to win the schmarling cup. Where were Chelsea's kids, or has Romoan's million's been spent on injured Germans and Blousing Argies.

Love to see an underdog like Burnley doing well against premiership teams. Can't wait to see Carlton's young Brigade kick on next year. We should get Arsene Wenger over to address the players pre season. I have never seen a Manager discover and get the best out of a young athelite like he does.

Give him a free summer holiday to OZ.

Happy days

Hearing you say this reminds me of watching Crystal Palace give Manchester United a 3-0 arse kicking at Selhurst back in 1991.

It

Chelsea rested Captain John Terry, John Mikel Obi, Frank Lampard, Petr Cech, Jose Bosingwa and Nicolas Anelka.... That’s 6 of our starting XI, hardly what I would call full strength. But congratulations on the win, with the injuries we've had, we didn't need this worthless cup in our way. We got bigger fish to fry!

Lampard came on in the 25 minute.
Mikel Obi had his kicked saved to send them out.

23Carlo Cudicini (G)35Juliano Belletti (D)18Wayne Bridge (D)19Paulo Ferreira (D)33Alex (D) V's Burnley
2Branislav Ivanovic (D)27Mineiro (M)15Florent Malouda (M)20Deco (M)11Didier Drogba (ST)21Salomon Kalou (ST)

With Lampard on in the 25th and Obi Wan Kinobi coming on after half time I would say that was NEARLY full strength.

Cudicini, Alex, Ivanovic, Bridge and Ferreira all aren't in our best XI.
Thats our whole defence + keeper.
Compare that to
Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Cole and Boswinga and you can understand the difference between full strength and NOT full strength.

Cech, Terry, Carvalho, Cole, Bosingwa, Essien, Ballack, Joe Cole, Anelka are some huge outs. the first 6 are guaranteed starters, with Ballack and J. Cole always a huge chance for a starting 11 spot depending on form (Ballack especially), and Anelka easily the replacement striker whenever Drogba gets injured or suspended. As well as that, Drogba wasn't anywhere near his best having just come back from a long injury

I'm happy for Burnley, but the OP has to put things into perspective and not get so arrogant. Chelsea were NOWHERE near full strength, and don't care in the slightest about the result

Another great thing is I backed them to win at $201-1, they're now around the $50-1.

It'll be very hard for them to win. But still good odds!

Considering that Cudicini is one of the 5 best keepers in the premier league (yes Cech is the best) and Bridge (hasn't wrote a book yet) would start at left back at nearly every other club I think the "NEARLY FULL STRENGTH" comment is absolutely justified.

My point was if Chelsea didn't care about the Scmarling Cup why didn't they give the likes of Liam Bridcutt, Jacob Mellis and Michael Woods all under 20years of age a crack to gain some experience.

Whether Chelsea's depth players would start at other clubs or not is irrelevant. The fact is, they don't start at Chelsea, therefore Chelsea were not nearly full strength

.

Chelsea don't care about the cup, but they still have a responsibility to try and win it. Supporters would still want a realistic chance of making it near the end, hence why Chelsea will play depth players rather than kids. The side Chelsea put out SHOULD have been good enough to beat Burnley. If Chelsea cared about the cup they would have played their best side. Instead they played a completely new back 4, and a striker in huge need of match fitness. If they win with their depth players, then great, if not, who cares, it's only the cup. That is the mentality of all the big 4. None of them care about the cup until they make it to the semis, but it doesn't mean they're going to field a team that has no chance whatsoever of winning
