Well im officially bored now ash is out.
(She actually played a great match- rogers just played absolutely flawlessly).

Womens title is a total coin flip now.

Surprised to see novak has drifted slightly after 1 wobbly set. He's an uberlock.

If you're quick you can get on novak v either felix or alcaraz final @ $12 and $14 at tab which is actually and close to double what is on offer at SB.

(Of course medvedev is raging fav for a good reason on that side of the draw, but you never know).


Likewise, if you think berrentini has a snowflakes chance in hell of getting past novak and zverev- a berrentini v medvedev final is $20 @ tab- double what is at SB
 
Little multi for interest this morning -

FAA -4.5 games vs Alcaraz - Just hoping that after two 5 set matches back to back, the young Spaniard might hit a flat spot here. who knows. Both have had some big games but FAA should have the fitness edge. maybe

Sabalenka H2H vs Krejcikova - Both have been cruising through the tournament but Krejcikova was a wreck the other night after her match against Muguruza. She had to be helped from the court to the locker room and didnt even do the post match interview. She was highly emotional but also looked physically spent. Happy to take Sabalenka here based on that.

Was a bit stiff here with the retirement of the Spaniard which voided the leg, but anyway will go again this morning.

The womens match is a genuine coin flip so just going with over 22.5 games $2.05

Mens match I'll take Berretini to win a set $1.83 - Berrettini has taken a set off him both times they have met in 2021 and Djoker has dropped a set in 3/4 matches at this tournament so far, to players far less accomplished than the italian. Very happy to go big on the $1.83 and a little on him to win 2+ sets $3.40

Also Pliskova Q2 Winner @4.65 (betfair) seems a nice price, done nothing wrong imo, don't think an injured badosa, an underdone andreescu or pavlyuchenkova are massive worries. got a nice cart into facing somebody from the bottom of her draw.
took krejcikova 6.0 q4, but that is well and truely gone, but think 8.0 her and sabs to meet in QF is a nice price (365).
mens looks a bit boring tbh, have taken khachanov q2 26 (sb), but favs to lose really, top 3 head and shoulders above rest.

only 1/6 winners in the futures including rybakina QF who looked abit injured in r3, ah well. osaka and barty no mental fortitude. pliskova completely outplayed.
if sakkari maintains that level she will be very hard to beat. and still cheering novak like most, looks like he might need 4 or 5 sets in the final to defeat medvedev, but the night conditions seem to suit him, seems he will just out-grind everybody, including matteo right now.

backed some raaducanu 1.77. looks the better player, more power. all straight set victories, been pretty dominant.
fernandez's fitness has to be a slight concern now after lots more 3 sets, tiebreakers.
does feel weird backing someone odds-on who has traded as high as 500 though...

Surely now the vic gvt have mandated no jab, no play for the AFL.... there is zero chance of them not doing the same for the tennis.

Which would make it an almost certainty that novak is out.

I like zverev @ $9 or Thiem @ $10.

Both will be half that or better if novak doesn't come and a great shot at the title (w/out novak).

Novak for me still. Not going near Thiem been in rubbish form and injured for a good 6-12 months.

novak will be vaccinated, no way he sits at home leaving a chance go by to get past rafa and fed. he will toughen up and get it done. i would love a market on it though...

0.0% chance he gets jabbed- he is hardcore antivax.

Also zverev is currently under investigation for allegedly bashing his gf, so he's every chance to be suspended etc too.

Medvedev will be hot fav, but I think that will be undeserved.

The title is wide open if novak and zverev are out, plus who knows what kind of condition rafas body is in.

Great year to back some value- tsisipas @ $13 is the pick of the bunch for me

Zverev is into 4-6 bucks from his previous $9 since his end of season win.

Tsisipas can still be had for $13 at TAB which is great value I think.

Medvedev will be smoking hot fav if novax djokovic is out- but in reality medvedev is not that far (if at all) clear of the chasing pack (eg zverev, tsisipas etc).

Rafa is a massive wildcard not picking up a racquet for so long- I don't think he's value.

Even ol mate kyrios might be value @ $50?
It's shaping up to be his best chance at ever winning a slam- wide open field, home turf.

(If only the clown would actually put some training work in so he could physically last the full 2 weeks of a grandslam.)

He would certainly LOVE to be the guy who wins the slam that novak pulls out of though- maybe that might motivate nick to train hard?!
