This is the purpose for the Russia-Ukraine War, Iran having its elbows out, and Venezuela's expansionist ideals into Guyana, combined with its narco-terroristic attacks on the US itself.

China wants the US distracted on these fronts top open up the board for Taiwan.

Trump just took Venezuela out of the equation. Clearing the Americas as a potential theatre of conflict and allowing it to remain ready to defend Taiwan, therefore literally stopping World War 3.
