Unfortunately, he has lately introduced a new concept to counter cheating. So unfortunately, you new guys who want to join will have to wait until some cheaters from Australia are removed. :(

And no, you should not put that you are playing from some other country. He's pretty strict on this, and will probably remove you from the game.

Thanks for clearing that up mate. ;) Hopefully some cheaters will be booted soon, because I really want to play.
 
Im definitely gonna join...not right now though cos its the early hours of the morning and im about to go and get some sleep but after the Eagles match tomorrow i will try and get online. Hopefully there will be room.

we are both out of the top 100 now, i'm JUST ahead of u in land, 7 acres in fact, but am 7000gc higher in networth;)

After losing 73acres in an attack, I'm growing steadily. My networth is low, but thats cause I haven't built any Stables yet (which add a LOT to your kd NW). (you pick up a lot of good tips reading strategy guides ;) )

I wonder how high we can go. I've invested heavily in defences, so hopefully won't lose much more land in attacks. I might start gaining offensive forces now and stop exploring once i reach 600acres.


P.S. I was in the TOP 50 at one stage. I doubt i'll reach such heights in this age again.

You seem to be a pretty good player D4E, and as the age progresses i would not be surprised if you got back to those dissying heights (was that top 50 humans or top 50 provinces on your island?, i am thinking you will get into the top 50 of the islanders on your island.) Cheers
Yes Strategy Guides ARE a GREAt help, and so are the newbie guides, the utopia one and the utopia dreams one, which i can't remember the website address for it.

Top50 Human provinces in the WORLD!!! Not just Island, the WORLD!!! (The avians seem to dominate the races in terms of land size, makes it hard for us humans).

I got off to a good start, but I just hope i can keep it up. Being a big province often make you a target in wars, which means I constantly have to improve my defences and hence am neglecting my offences a bit.

IMO, the main reason why I've gone so good so far is because I have 30% banks, which allowed me to raise money a lot faster and therefore grow. I think I might raze those banks down to 12% and invest in Forts a little more (4.5% is really not enough). You cannot be strong everywhere and should invest in one aspect of your province and hope the enemy doesn't exploit your weaknesses. Planning ahead is the key to this game.



We're going to war with 8:16 soon, if anyone wants to attack someone, feel free to go after them.
 
You've REALLY been hit hard by the war u r in haven't you D4E? I'm more than 100 acres ahead of you and 20000gc's networth.
How many times have you been hit and how bad? Anyone u want me to hit back when i get my defenses to a sufficient amount to allow an attack?
 
You have no idea how bad i've been hit. Today I came back from Uni and I'd been hit by 4 different provinces (the list of attacks was so long i didn't bother reading it), had meteors showered on me, numerous spells cast, robbed, razed, forts burned down, and over 4000 peasants are now dead :( I managed to repel about 3 attacks, but they broke through twice and stole about 75 acres. They seem fairly organised, they send in their elfs to cast spells and then the orcs send their military.

If you can, try attacking Mithrill (8:16) or Zerconium (8:16). They've been the main culprits. Worst part about this war is that our kingdom isn't fighting back. They're just sitting back asking for aid. In fact, someone attacked a fellow province and now they are all hitting him for revenge.

If this crap goes on, I might defect. Hopefully I'll get a kingdom that intends on playing the game rather than sitting there picking their noses :rolleyes:

i can't hit them right now, need to train more defense, raise my DpA first, but have written their names down on my utopia black(white) page;)

Attack Iron of Eito (8:16) in that case. Our monarch sent 68 soldiers and got through :D Admittedly he only captured 2 acres, but still....

Set your draft rate to about 45%, this should mean you have 100% employment and the maximum amount of soldiers available (45% is my ideal rate, when at war I usually raise my draft rate to about 55%). Don't have more than 5% homes, have about 15% armouries early in the game (makes training soldiers cheaper, you can raze this later once you have a high income) and have a few dungeons (prisoners can fill jobs if you lack peasants, and they can go to war too).

Even if you don't intend on thieving, having a bunch of thieves trained keeps enemy thieves away. Get some watchtowers too, otherwise you'll become a supermarket for enemies with low reserves.

Go
here and read the strategies that apply to your race and sound interesting to you. You'll learn a bit about what not to waste money on and what strengths to develop.
 
Do you guys have the ANGEL program and if so how do i use it to find out the specifics for enemies. I know how to get my specs...i just paste my Throne screen and copy it into ANGEL but i dont know how to find out stats for the enemy. I cant attack someone if i know i dont have a reasonable chance of winning?
 
you need to get the enemies cb. I am assuming you don't know how to do that, but thats simple. You go to mystics and put in the kingdom/island of the person u wish to attack, where it says select spell you choose crystal ball. Now if that spell works, the enemies thrown screen will appear, and u just have to copy and paste it into angel just like it was your throne thingy. Then that will go in the enemies side, u fill in the attackers side and it will tell you your chance of winning
