good win, poor timeslot

j mac should have played more in 2020 rather than others who get a go

dees pathetic. but our pressure and team defence won it

ill give credit to Clarke, dont think be belongs in a decent side, but always works hard and his defence tonight was good, plus made some good decisioms, dees pressure was woeful, but you can only beat who you play

mclean was quite good for a late in

florent is letting me down a bit though

i admire that we dont tank even slightly, they always try

great work by the boys

if l.taylor gets fit over the preseason, in a few years time we might be talking about another bargain success story

if mcinerney and clarke keep improving, i have doubts about last years draft selection for stephens...

fox going to be next rampe? completely beat his opponent (weideman?)

next week, in: mills and out: aliir

Fantastic performance all round, especially in the first half. McInerney's best game yet, we've got a weapon on our hands. Underdogs like Clarke, McLean and Taylor doing well. Taylor especially I strongly questioned why he was getting a callup but looked lively all game. Kennedy and Parker turning back the clock.

Only real negative was a bit too much Hollywood play late in the game, but given the game was effectively iced meh.

Florent moves so incredibly well, it's sublime. It's a real shame he's struggling so much to find it and use it well.

He's still going ok, when he goes by hand he's bringing others in and he gets us out of tricky situations, but he's a C-grader who should, by his attributes, be pushing for A-grader status - even with his kicking.

Clarke was great - he'll never be a great user by foot but he was a decisive, one-touch player who made very good decisions tonight. And he went onto Langdon in the last quarter and curbed his influence as well.

I really like what Wicks brings. Not a star but his physicality is brilliant, and he's good enough to take his chances in front of goal. Just what you want from a defensive forward.

Taylor was very good in the first half, ordinary in the second up until he got his goal. Had a few more good moments after that. Does seem to be a confidence player and I'd like to see him stay in for the rest of the year.

McCartin is our CHB for mine. Rotate him forward for impact if we need it, but keep him back in general.

Melican was mixed. Had some really good moments and was pretty good overall, but also had some real Melican moments. I still can't decide if I think he'll make it.

More broadly our whole defensive unit was very effective. Thurlow looks very much at home rotating between HB and wing. Fox has found his groove as an undersized KPD. Operating well.

Media will go into meltdown about Melbourne over the next 48 hours.

Reality is they just aren't very good. B grade midfield, okay backline, absolutely terrible forward line.
